Feb football: The window wheezes shut

I suppose it's fitting that a season like this has a transfer window like that, really. I didn't have Sky Sports on yesterday but I assume even Jim White was struggling to get a hard-on over Liverpool browsing the lower leagues for defenders. And I could have lived without learning that Ian Wright, a player of my youth, has a grandson old enough to play professional football.

Anyway, you know the drill. It is a new month and an assortment of football will be played across various tournaments. I suppose the return of European football may be exciting, if that's your sort of thing? United will just be getting lolled out by Real Sociedad / lolling past Real Sociedad with a crap performance and questionable penalty (delete as applicable) anyway so I can't pretend I'm especially looking forward to that.
