I work with someone who doesn't like potatoes at all.
They're pretty good but I'd give them up in an instant over other forms of potato.
It must originally have been an evolutionary advantage to like chips, so I wonder how long it will take before the chip-likers get selected out after all dying of heart attacks before breeding.
Given the poster is Scotch this could be read as a cry for help of sorts. Or is it that they're so ubiquitous that there would be no alternative?
On a wider point, surely it's easy to imagine what it would be like. I don't like either olives or coconut (despite both seeming quite appealing) so I assume it would be something akin to that but with chips.
