Bring on Van De Beek.
Bring on Van De Beek.
I heard they are trying to phase out referring to black players as fast and strong. Regarding the crystal palace front four. They are fast and strong.
Zaha, one on one on the half way line with the slowest defender of all time, an decides to dance in front of him by doing a Pogba special of trying to have as much touches as possible in a short period of time
Lol.
Decent player would have stayed onside
Giving that as a penalty is bollocks.
Edit -
Though I presume he misses now even though he hasn't took it on my feed yet.
It hit his hand. Why isn't it a penalty?
Ref is on overs and Palace to win.
They penalise the striker for it so why not the defender?
Shocking penalty anywya
Ah for fuck sake the whole thing is down the toilet if they're calling this back.
Shouldn't feet/line be micro-measured as offsides/goals are?
That's enough for me. If they ever bring in VAR here then I'm done completely.
United losing to shit teams at Old Trafford just isn't the same without the crowd.
Was he not offside? Or at least close to it to check at least
Lindelof and Maguire are donkeys.
I should jinx people more often. Definitely worth Ł60 million.
Lindelof is just a fanny. He plays like he's five foot nine.
They're surely at least a little tempted to sack him.
Glad I'm at work
So glad to have United back in my weekends.
How did I miss that.
It's amazing that they've brought VAR in and made football worse. Deserved the defeat.
Never a penalty, shambles to have it retaken, as Taz would say, GWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Guess that's bit a Bjorn Tore KVARMA for all the shit they had go their way after the restart last season.
Wouldn't matter who it was, VAR is ruining the sport.
Really sets the stage for our 0-0 stalemate against Brighton tomorrow.
Since when hasn't it been?
Lindelhof has been done there in the same way that the Croatia defender (or whoever it was) was against France in the World Cup. Slow motion makes it look like his arm moves towards the ball (and is somewhat away from his body at the point of impact) when in reality it's just the natural movement of his arm from running. It's just a bafflingly bad decision.
I like this West Ham side. Overrated vs underrated here imo.
You would, but he's far too well off to be settling for it.
Solksjaer with a pretty clear message to the board when asked about transfers. Doubt we'll sign another player.
That was more of a penalty than Lindelof's.
A couple of things:
1. Arsenal performance last night was akin to their turgid displays last season, where they look like a mid table team, at best. So much for the media hype after beating a shit Fulham.
2. I love seeing how bang average Man Utd have become Even when they spend a sack load of money on players, they seem to turn them into worse players after the initial 6 months.
1. That is because Arsenal are a mid-table team. They finished 8th last year.
My comment was more a reflection on the media hype surrounding them after just one game.
They won, which is all that really matters. They can take operation park the bus for another spin next week and anything gained will be an excellent start to the season. It's not like United or Spurs look anything other than bang average either so there's an opportunity for Arsenal (or maybe Everton, this season's Leicester, to go far and then implode) to get up around the 4th place trophy.
No idea what to expect today. Years of watching Mourinho sides grind us into the dust has completely melted my brain. I read yesterday that Chelsea have only won two of the last ten at home against Liverpool in the league, with Liverpool winning five. That feels all wrong and outwith my experience of the fixture. I expect Werner to do well against the high line. Hopefully Frank comes up with one of his tactical masterplans and it scuppers their chances. Kepa will probably have a blinder now they've nearly bought a replacement, he does usually do quite well against Liverpool.
I think if the same defence performance turns up from last weekend, Chelsea's attackers are going to have a field day.
Thankfully most of their attackers seem to be injured, Pulisic in particular.
West Ham can only be trusted to do 2 things.
1)Be relegation level shite for most of the season.
2)Somehow be good in London Derbys.
Weird that retaken penalties don't have to be taken by the same player.
I'm a twit
We will leak 3 so will have to score 3. Could happen
It’s a shame Pulisic is injured and thus saving Alexander-Arnold from a doing.
Hudson-Odoi should really start but he will probably play Ross Barkley with Mount and Havertz out wide. For some reason.
Southampton XI: McCarthy, Walker-Peters, Stephens, Bednarek, Bertrand, Romeu, Ward-Prowse, Armstrong, Djenepo, Ings, Adams.
Tottenham XI: Lloris, Doherty, Dier, Sanchez, Davies, Hojbjerg, Winks, Ndombele, Lucas, Son, Kane.
I still can't believe how shit that retake decision was.
Winks and Hojbjerg midfield again. Jfc. Good to see Dom Billy starting though
