I do have an untradeable Joe Gomez but at this stage of the game I’d rather not use him.
With that body type he'll be too clunky as a winger. H/H on the CM too

The shoulder buttons? I turned that off last night as I thought it might be causing the issue.
It has to be some sort of setting though as they chances that a brand new controller is suffering from the same issue has to be incredibly slim.

So matchmaking being down is lol and all, but the Jones SBC relies upon me doing the Spanish One Nation as I've a lot of high rated fodder that is Spanish ready to chuck in.
Can't even do Squad Battles while I wait either.
Thankfully matchmaking came back after 2:15am or so. Got the One Nation for Spain done in just 7 games. People really don't like it when you fight back in this game mode.
That allowed me to submit my fodder into Jones. I managed to do all 3 sections with only buying 1 Trent card. I did have to give up a few reds, such as 87 Oyarzebal and 86 Soucek and Headliners Hinterreger, but in truth I was never going to use them. But the rest was all untradeable.
If my SB rewards come Monday are nice to me, I'll look at getting El Shaarawy done too, but I'm happier to let him pass by.
Jones at CM is a beast based on his use vs me. Just can’t see him taking Camavingas place (my god that card is special).
I’ve missed 4 pens today, think my fifa ratio is like 1 in 10 scored. Fucking nightmare. Just constantly being saved.

Thoughts on whether or not some What If players will be silver and/or non-rare gold?
I have some 82-88's saved and wondering if I should rip open some more upgrades to make more or keep some of the upgrades.
I’ve got some hope for this promo not just being shapeshifters in disguise.
Though if it’s just an excuse to give players like Papu Gomez and Neymar a special promo card then meh.
I saw some speculation that it might be a promo for former youth prospects who failed to live up to their hype such as Macheda which I'd have been well up for.
If it is shapeshifters or some other bollocks I wont be pleased.

This might be one of the worst promos they've ever done actually. The upgrade requirements make no sense and the players are dull as fuck.
Hang on, it's the player's club that need to score the goals not the player himself. Makes it slightly better.

Attackers & Midfielders upgrade if the player’s club scores at least 6 total goals in their next 5 domestic league matches.

Just opened 22 packs I had saved up. Got a Yuri Berchiche who fits my team and is very likely to upgrade given Bilbao are decent defensively. Couple of shit TOTWs in there too, so not a bad opening.
What if? We used the same players in promos every year.

Would love that Gomez card, but nothing in there that's got me too excited.

I'd not seen the +2 upgrade these cards should all get. Makes this actually decent. There's a few cheaper cards that will be very good value if their +2 comes in. Yuri is the one I'd want if I got one too.
Got Smalldini out of the level 20 rewards. 700k on PS but obviously untradeable being a season reward.

Have you done (m)any of the silver stars? I am playing all my special silver Germans (+ Okafor cause he strong links Adeyemi) with four shit bronzes at the back. Bring Toregrosso on and score. Easy.
I have 4 wins (two people left at 1-0 before I could even get Torre off the bench) and only have the score shit left. So I am going to give away wins and just walk away from the PS with the controller propped up.
Yeah I have them but I hate having to use Bronze cards.
Up to 6 tokens now and I know they're trying to get people to do it, but the temptation to take the 83+ x 25 pack is high. The What If? cards plus the small chance of Rashford on top of a lot of fodder seems too good to be true. Surely you'd get at least one?

I picked up Ziegler, Reddemann, Kircher and Zant (out of pos at LB). The latter comes off for Reach and when I needed wins I brought on Morgan for Ziegler.
Two more games with Italian goals and I am done.
A wild what if challenge appeared at like 1am US time. Out popped UCL Mane.
Now doubting my decisions with the release of the What If? promo.
I was set on Deco and while he isn't anything groundbreaking to my team, he sorts chemistry massively and helps get CR7 and Felix in.
The 83+ x 25 and 82+ are both available. They're really tempting me right now. Especially when I collect that 8th token.
Haven't got ant tokens yet but I'll be going Deco plus all of the packs when I do.
I'm still thinking I'll go for the either the 91+ Prime or Prime/Moments. Will probably end up with a slightly better Nakata, but might as well roll the dice.
I've finished up all the tokens apart from the WL ones so am now just picking through the Objectives. Not too far away from completing Fofana, then have Silver Stars, Caputo and that L1 striker.

I'm tempted to save the packs until we get the best of in packs, so Deco for me first I think.
Just played my first WL and I put Neymar through on goal one on one and he uses his Varane to just slide through the back of him. I get a penalty (which I miss obviously) but his defender doesn't even get a yellow...
I was the last man, he went through the back of me and he didn't even attempt to make a play for the ball.

They often give out FIFA points for buying plus as a specific time.
Mullers card being an 89 when his next is an 88 is a shitter but the pace and physical boost are very nice.
Fofana and Reinier finished. Kross SBC completed using a couple of their lower cards.
Need to work on UCL and CSL swaps over the rest of the weekend before circling back on Benedetto later on.
Some UCL and UEL MOTM cards released too.
If there was ever a time for those packs it's now.
