You may have more luck than I (rofl, given the icons), but I opened 25 of them last night and didn't get a single card over 83. So many 81s too.
Little late to the party but I would also like to add a "Fuck you Yev" for that OBSCENE pack pull.
In all seriousness, with the amount of effort you put into the packs, it's only fair you've nabbed a couple of incredible icons early on for this iteration.
It really is disgusting. Getting the most expensive and the third most expensive baby icons from the SBC.

I've crunched the numbers and the 474 packs I now have on hand for TOTY when recycled, and recycled again, and recycled again etc. should give me another 184 Premium League Upgrade Packs and 282 Standard League upgrade packs, which basically takes me to 940 packs I'll have to open, which will be 15m coins of packs or two grands worth.
And that's if I stop now.
Opening a pack a minute (building in some time to recycle) will take me 16 hours.
Another batch of 81-87's and I got a dupe IF Ogbonna (I guess I'll put one into an Icon SBC segment), Rui Patricio, IF Mantalos, Eriksen, Visca, Sabitzer and Vardy.
Not spent my coins yet as I've noticed what you lot probably did a month ago when this came out. There really are not many good defenders. Left-backs are pretty much non-existent.
I was wondering why 83 Gomez was still 70k and it's because other than VVD, the EPL has almost no one. A lot of teams I see have people using objective cards or even just putting full backs into CB(if not both) and taking the chem hit.
Yeah, most pro players just use Mendy - Varane - Gomez - Semedo or some variation on that with Kyle Walker in one of the positions. Going forwards with your fullbacks will get you murdered so you just need someone fast there now.

I liked Zakaria a lot in my previous systems as he's a destroyer, however I don't really need that in the 3-5-2 with 3 CB's behind and his lack of passing is actively hurting the team now.

I want him at CDM but I don't know who to make my third CB. Zakaria or Delaney.
I'm leaning towards Zakaria but he'd only be on 7 chem as I'd have to start him at CB.
Dupe untradeable AWB from the Rare Mega. Had to bin him off to open up MM's
Joe Gomez from those (I thought it was going to be the 3rd time I packed him untradeable but thankfully not).
Harry swore by his CDM card on 7 chem being very good at CB. So I imagine the boosted (even more next week) Zakaria would be perfect.
A 60 min 10-1 win (ended with him scoring three own goals...), a 10 min 2-0 win and a 3 min 1-0 win welcome Adeyemi to the club.
Silver lounge is the best.
I think this week when silver lounge interest calms down I will pick up Bela and Saliba to do this, until next week when someone I want to get into the side comes along that is.

Ok Blanc is a monster.
Just played my first Rivals game (Zakaria at CB, he was also incredible) with him and he was insane.
The guy quit after 77 minutes at 5-1 down and Blanc was MOTM. 1 assist (a great pass into Lewandowski), 16/16 in passing, 12/13 in dribbles, 8/10 with tackles and rated 10/10.
It's hard to run past him and it's even harder trying to pass around him as he has crazy long legs.

I wanted to take a finesse shot with Zola, who is great at them, but didn't have the space.
Edit: 3-0 rage quit after 15 minutes with Blanc again MOTM on 7 (the guy pressed pause at 2-0 when Blanc made his 3 tackle).

I'm pretty much poor right now (I really need Telles to have a good game this weekend) and I even had to dip into my pack stash in order to finish the Icon SBC.
Although I did get a first owner untradeable Alphonso Davies and Martial (plus Blanc is obviously a huge win) out of it.
So I've been working towards getting that Tello card as he looks a great fit for the bench as an impact sub, but it's been bugging me I couldn't see all the rewards that have been listed up as available. I kept seeing a Naby Keita and Romagnoli reward but not in the menus. It's taken me this fucking long to notice you can use the right stick to shift between them as there's 3 options...

Aspas and Romagnoli rendered somewhat pointless by todays IFs (although the latter has an 86 obj vs 85 IF)

These are some kind of next gen cards. Looks like redesigned golds. Leaked on twitter a few days back.
Whenever I try to download the next gen version (there's no cross-play though so I wouldn't delete the PS4 version) it says I already own the item.
On the next gen link it says the game doesn't arrive until the 4th so maybe that's why.
Started my time in Rivals with a 6-1 and then a 7-0 humping. I was trying a 4-2-3-1 I'd quickly made and had bought a few upgrades to match. After the quick fall to Earth I switched it into a 4-3-3(false 9) with Firmino as the striker. Seemed to work much, much better.
I have noticed that certain players do now start to stick out at this level. I tried Lucas at RW and he just didn't cut the mustard for me. Gabriel Jesus also starts to feel a bit meh. He does well in certain spots, but his passing sometimes makes interplay quite difficult. I may bring in Mahrez or Bernardo for the role. I'm not one who tends to rely on through balls so the extra quality on the ball may help me.
Also at the first player unlock now that this dipshit realises there's a choice of 3. The Japanese lad looks alright and Aidoo looks very good(how is that an 82?) but both have nationalities that will make it difficult to get them into a team unless it's all one league. Tello looks the way to go. Could easily be a sub that can come on and play any position that isn't LB.
Just rattled through the Silver games in my lunch break. Three games, three rage quits (two against the same person)
People who use the dark balls need to be fired into outer space though
