Transfer list is pretty much full of bronze and silver league SBC players (and Telles OTW's) which doesn't help.
I love OTW as a concept but it's shit as an actual promo. EA have no incentive to upgrade someone, whereas RTTF is much more straightforwards.
Next year I'm not spending on any high-value OTW cards. Have wasted coins on Rodrigo and Ziyech this year (sold the former for a 15k loss, the latter I actually like using still and has potential to recoup if he gets another IF). But, what I spent on them could have bought me half a Messi, FFS

Finishing all 30 Champs games has put me far enough into Rank 2 that I could hit 1 tonight. Should I do that, there's the potential for a shit load of untradeable packs to really stock the club up, though it's going to be hard to resist that 70k coin payout.

Genuinely thought he wouldn't dip under 90k and I thought when Shaw was injured he'd be nailed on for an IF or at least a performance that generated HYPE so I could sell. He got 1 assist in that time and there was no hype at all as there were 3/4 players that could have gotten an IF ahead of him and one of them (Pogba) did.

Played a few games of Rivals this week to finish up some of the objectives and took untradeable rewards this morning. Mostly shit until Donarumma in my penultimate pack and then Sadio Mane in the last one

I’m on 94k XP for the season but I highly doubt I’m going to be able to play at all before the 6pm deadline tomorrow. Gutted as it means I will miss out on both 86 Romagnoli and 86 Deulofeu who would be great Serie A upgrades.
I’m also passing on Bellerin as I managed to get RTTF Joao Cancelo from the Party Bag. I’ve also only done 2 of the Icon Swaps tokens, but I understand there are 12 more to come? If so, I should have enough for Koeman anyway so not too worried.

I bought the Ps5 version. Im not even going to attempt to figure out a workaround. They had one chance to pull me back in, and they messed it up.
If you bought the PS5 version then I don't think you can play the PS4 version.

Did the New Year and MMs this morning - out popped gold Ter Stegen, Benzema and a few other decent cards. Excellent stuff.
MM and New Year done, plus the Bundesliga (fair play to EA on the squad ratings required for that one - you can hammer bronzes into them) and that's 700 packs hit.
Fair play Yev - that is bananas. Your team by the end of this will be obscene (even more so with the Icons you already have)
I'm currently considering whether to liquidate most of my tradable players. According to my spreadsheet () that would take me up to 1.3m coins which would mean I could pick up Mbappe and Kante, or Cantona. Gonna wait and see what comes out in the new content tonight but I figure I have a load of decent but not spectacular cards which I don't think I'd take too much of a hit on just switching out say Buffon for Szcesney and getting my first team really strong. I tend to spread my funds thinly across multiple teams, rather than just buying some uber beast.
I figured with time running out people would not want to stick around if losing in Managerial Masterpiece, so I completed the MLS guys. My eyes are on using Lima and Long for this weekend to see how they get on. Lima especially doesn't look too shabby, even compared with Mendy.

I think giving up having Ronny on 10 chem is going to be best for building the rest of the squad out. But I'm not doing anything until 6pm. I want to see what the new season and headliners bring. Maybe an SBC or two or a new objective card that would fit in somewhere.
On the new season, I think I'm gonna forgo weekend league this time to concentrate on whatever comes and grinding league SBC's instead.
I'm hoping there's some good stuff to go at.
Since I've played there's been decent cards but nothing I'd say exceptional. Some of the ones I've missed though, especially all the Frenchies would have massively helped my current situation.
I also feel properly stupid for not doing Acuna now.

I actually think he's that good he's wasted at LB. He needs to be played at CM I feel.
I remember doing the same with I think the TOTY Marcelo a few versions back.
