Well. This is going well. Three wins, 2-0, all rage quits after 15-20 mins. Playing devastating stuff. Not quite sure where this is coming from, except that my opposition must be quite shite tonight.
Might be something in that theory Merse, as I've had a cracking night - ended up 14-7. Forsberg and Sabitzer coming into the centre of midfield have really improved the side, and I bought Neuer to replace Bürki in goal, and he's proved to be miles better. I went 11-2 after making those changes to the side. Decided against pushing for 17 wins due to the time, but the way it was going, it was definitely possible. It also means I have another 6 games to push for Rank 1 in Rivals.
Packed a discard IF from SB rewards too, so a great night in all.
Up to 14-5 myself. Far fewer 1 depth players this weekend, though actually I’ve been playing some really good pressers. Issue is I guess, I’m used to playing out from the back. I think more than anything that there’s more D4-5ers in there this weekend, unlike say the first where I was basically playing only D1-3, of which I’m at the tail end.
Allison in goals has helped me loads as well. Not so much his keeping as Oblak was good for that, but how he is on the ball and his ability to turn an attacker pressing him and thread a through ball between the CAM and CDM to a full back to launch me forward.
Got my 50 wins Jumbo Rare Players pack and pulled that RTTF Zakaria, which is nice. 180k player and looking like he’s got a better than evens chance of upgrading, but not someone I can fit in for now so I’m a little annoyed he’s untradeable.

I’m bowing out at 14-5 I think. Could have been a very good weekend but I didn’t have the time, still happy enough with Gold 3 from about 5 hours of playing across a couple of nights.
Nothing much from SB rewards for me. Some Arsenal CB TOTW and a couple of 83s.
Ran through the Lib and most of the Sud SBC's last night to bring the TOTY pack haul up to 119 packs (2.6m coins/£300's worth).
It's a shocker what they've done with the expiry and the player reward not being there, but hopefully they'll get better as we go along.
Mbappe up for Player of the Month, which I believe is some sort of user vote between him, Bamba and Ben Yedder.
He's getting done if he wins and isn't 8m coins.
An upgraded Mbappe would be obscene - will hopefully mean I can flog off these high-rated players I've got stocked up. It's been crying out for an attractive SBC.

Was saying to Danny that I thought you could BPM it, but you can't. There are so many golds and silvers needed that you'd have to open thousands of bronze packs to get them and even then that doesn't account for the drop weight of these cards which has now been nerfed to fuck because they're required. That last bit might be the most egregious thing EA do actually. I get reducing Renato Sanches' drop weight when there's a special card of his out, but random South American wank needed for an SBC? Do me a favour.
I'll still be able to accrue enough packs to make TOTY fun as I've started so early, but if league SBC's carry on like this I won't be getting anywhere near as many as I thought from that method.
They are proper weasels. Does Nep's method of pre-building the teams so it's repeatable at least work now? I started going through the SBCs but it's a faff.
In team news: Ziyech is a tidy little player. Check him out if you have a chance. Also: Williams and Rodrigo/Dembele is a great strike force. Really enjoying the new team
They're easy to do, easier than last year as they all link, but it's just not worth it as the golds cost 2-3k and the silvers more.
I only did it the first time because I had all of the former.
I'll take the easy packs now but not sure I want to invest too much coin into it for untradeables

You actually have to play them this time - EA's inconsistent squad/team dysphoria strikes again.
Luckily I'd packed a few lower-rated but still decent ones (Mukiele, Sule and a couple of other BuLi people) so I can make a vaguely decent team, albeit the centre backs are mince and get annihilated by Mbappe every time
Also: that Renato Sanches card is excellent now but will be bananas after an upgrade

First time I’ve played FIFA since 18 and I’ve gone from pretty good to awful. 4 games 3 goals scored and 12 conceded so far.
None of what I used to do works. And is it just me or is this game SLOW now? Feels like even the paciest player is running through treacle.

Casteels (although I should have taken Kruse) and Carlos Soler from my rewards.
Finished comfortably rank two in Div Rivals as well (no idea why last week's score needed was so much higher) so got a bumper haul of packs too to take me to 140ish in total/3m coins worth.
I did the same in my picks - took Casteels over Kruse. My other pick was a massive win though - 89 Bruno Fernandes. Might have to mix up the team a little to get him in, or just use him religiously as a super sub for this weekend.
Packed various fodder in the other packs but no walkouts - best pulls were an 81 IF from the French league and Lukaku.
