That's a class goal. Almost worth watching 75 minutes of dross for.

    Shame on you.

Rashford and Martial have been electric at times tonight. Mostly a shit game otherwise but this could be a huge win.

Apparently we get a 30 million euro clause for Real Madrid winning the league, how has Marina managed to slip that in there? That should buy one of Kai Havertz's calves and maybe his pancreas.

Listening to a podcast and it impresses me that even nearly 25 years after Solskjaer arrived in England people still have their own ways of pronouncing his name.

This one was merely a "Solss-yarr" rather than the full Solsk-shire, sadly.

I know Danish ain't Norwegian (as Bob Dylan sang on 'Fjord Mustang') but Simon Kjaer seems to have a totally different range of English attempts at his name compared to Sols-Kjaer. Solschair has never been a thing.

I've always been a Sol-shar man but have been known to dabble in Sol-shire, you know, experimentally.

We finished 7th under Moyes, so that's bollocks.

And don't start going on about number of points, that's a useless metric that's only ever used for crap arguments like this.

That’s kind of my point. This league is a massive amount of underperformance. Remember the year everyone was crap and Leicester won the league? Liverpool finished 8th with a point less than Leicester have now.

I might be wrong about this, but a glance at the table seems to indicate that there have been loads of draws, which would depress everyone's points tally.

There we are chilling in 3rd with 11 losses and 49 conceded

14 Draws for us and Wolves which is a fair point.

Second point is also fair, we've conceded 5 less than Chelsea but scored 11 less. For all the moaning about the midfield/defense, our lack of creativity is actually what ruined us this year.

I've been a huge advocate of this for years. All those managers chasing 1-0/1-1s down the bottom are fools. 2 wins and 3 losses is better than 5 draws. End of.

Better to lose 5-2, 3 games and win 3-1 twice.

It was like when Arsenal were touting their 19 game unbetaen record or something and then you look and they're 7th. Who gives a shit apart from the media who have to paint every point dropped as CRISIS.

That last title win for Sralex (or however that contraction goes) has to go down as one of the great managerial achievements/trolling efforts.

Isn't this the faultless logic Eddie Howe has lived (and now dies) by at Bournemouth?

Haven't City also managed to lose something like 9 games whilst clocking up all those extra goals running up the score against shite? It's been a weird year.

Liverpool's 'win basically every game' strategy has trumped either of those, it's true.

    Strategy out the window now.

They won't but they should roll out the red carpet for the Chelsea game a la that game where Chelsea won the title and loads of Liverpool fans were (somewhat inexplicably) pleased about them having done it by winning at Anfield. Take that United!
