Right, Mellers, there's very little specifics I can give really because the only thing we're looking for is Buzz. With experience you will be able to filter out the long dead bollocks that bag holders are trying to get moving again because they're in the red. But unfortunately, until you've been around for a while you won't know the names, so you'll have to check the stock. Obviously if it went haywire 2 weeks ago, ignore it, move on.

From memory, recent pop's that still get occasionally hyped are:

    COUV
    TLSS
    GAXY
    CLWD
    ATVK
    TSGT
    TAUG

There's probably more. Don't touch them. The boat has been missed.

To get ahead of the curve, you need a couple of names you can trust. From the Discord I sent you' Altered Carbon, DaveTrader and Eric H have seen me right a good few times. But they do get it wrong sometimes.

As I said, follow anything penny stock related on Facebook, Twitter and StockTwits (and Redit if that's your bag) and look for the Buzz. If it's a stock that hasn't popped before, then focus on that.

Generally speaking the OTC opens at either 1 or 1:30, but it does very little until 2:30. Watching the buys and sells on iHub gives a good indication of what's going to happen.

Yesterday 212 had TKOI still sat at 0.0303 but ihub had buys at 0.0368. Obviously we can see where that's going at 2:30. And go it did.

But, it should be said, 2 of the people on that discord held too long and lost money yesterday. Once the cunt tanks, good luck getting out. That's why I ride the first wave, take my stake out and then carry on with the profit. Too much risk leaving it all in. I left with 100%, others got up to 160%, couldn't get out and sold at -50%. Ouch.

    Cheers mate.

By couldn't get out do you mean they tried but it wouldn't trade as there wasn't a buyer? That's something I've not had to deal with before. There's more than enough liquidity in the big markets and all trades are instant. Something to be wary of.

Indeed. The low liquidity that allows the shit to fly at 100mph, also allows it to drop like a rock.

I've never experienced pending times like some of them had yesterday (2 painful hours for one of them).

It's why I say to get in and out early.

What normally happens, is the Numpty crew drive a price up until it ends up on the 'biggest movers' list, at which point the day traders come in. Usually from pump and dump discord servers. Drive the price up and pull the plug at a pre-agreed price. You do not want to be holding at 0.0400 if they all pull out at 0.0399.

Two fucking hours? Wow. That's disgusting. Could go anywhere.

Okay, so don't wait for the 5 min MACD to cross, but get out when it first signs weakness. Roger

That was an extreme, never seen anything like it. I think it was one highly organised discord, so there was just no fucker buying until it hit the rocks.

5 minutes is not at all uncommon though. It really can cost you. Obviously, you do you, but I take my stake out pretty early and let the profit do the work, skimming every time it falters.

I really don't get those stories. How the fuck did he go down £90k? Like, even at the beginning when I was buying things at terrible times I was still managing to break even.

He shorted a stock just as it went on a run, and the joy of shorting is that it doesn't just take your stake, it can empty your account and, I believe, more beyond that.

What's mad, is he could have had a stop loss in place to stop this at 2% and What's even more mad is that if you look at his account he does this shit pretty regularly. Albeit not to this extent.

    This is actual retardation.

I mean, if he's running up those sorts of losses, time and time again, one wonders how he's earning that much money to piss it up the wall in the first place.

Not sure if you guys are watching the Discord. CLSN up 90 odd % in the premarket.

Might put in a small amount, but it looks like it's had a fair run already. Not too sure on this one.

Just opened an options contract on the FTSE with a 6700 strike price (needs to finish above that basically). Expecting a volatile day. Should go north, but options cap losses if it doesn't. Not worth much if it doesn't go far, but if it takes off back toward 6,800 then it's happy birthday.

At this point, this is basically gambling right? Do you have any idea what the companies you're buying even do for revenue?

Anyone wanting a medium term hold XL Fleet, currently $19.15. Citroen price target of $60. Previous sell off due to loss of CEO, but new administration now in place. Longs have caught up with the shorts, support has been found. No guarantees but this could triple your investment in a year or so. I expect $23 by this time next week.

What are you doing when it comes to declaring this Spikey?

I know Mellin said there's no tax, but a tripling of your investment in a year (not casting shade on that assertion btw) has 'capital gains' written all over it.

I only started in December and this is in My ISA, so I can't see it getting near those levels. Plus, Capital Gains tax only comes in after I have used up my ISA allowance IIRC.

I would never put all my eggs in one basket either. So I only have a moderate amount in there. I have some more in PRSM which is due to start it's latest march from £15 to £18 per share.

Either way, something huge would have to happen for me to realise that level of profit. Next year, if things go well, then I may well have to dig out my old Uni Balance Sheet text book.

No, but interested. I remember looking into Kickstarter and being surprised that you don't seem to get anything for backing the idea. It's just free money if they succeed. Fuck that for a laugh.

FTSE doesn't have revenue mate. Technicals tell the story. If you trade short term you lean heavier on them. Long term fundamental. Both are important though.

Big money flying out on summer restrictions and vaccine supply issues.

Spread betting = no CGT. Potential income tax if you make a fortune

Have a look at the other two. You're investing in companies with products rather than projects.

That FTSE trade is actually a good example of why you don't need the news (hence the edit).

Bought at 6705. Rode it up to 6740. News is negative at this stage and it's just rose 35 points. That's where the sellers step in and you can see this in the data. So you close the trade with profit.

Trump could wrestle back control of the US in a coup, strap himself to a nuclear warhead and personally launch both him and it into the centre of London, and the FTSE would still bounce when oversold, many times, across every timeframe. Once you can get that in your head then you can make money from those moves.

r/WallStreetBets became popular because of people losing money. Up until last week it was seen as a meme sub, but obviously now they've got everybody's attention. If you want a WSB-type investment, Blackberry and Palantir are much more sensible and being pushed by non-meme communities too.

Personally, I got involved in GME today with an average share price of $73. i think it'll hit over $100 at least once again this week and Friday could potentially be the biggest day yet.
