Ah, we've reached the "deal is not close" brief from Utd stage of the Sancho transfer.
IDK why Ducker, Peach and Stone continue to allow themselves to be used for PR games by Utd like this. It's embarassing.
Is this Torres guy an absolute steal for City (well, in relative terms) or is he not as good as my extremely limited knowledge suggests he might be?
He's apparently very good. Valencia are absolutely fucked financially, they are basically having a fire sale which explains the fee.
They've been saying that for ten years the losers.
I think they still own that second stadium that hasn't been knocked down.
Peter Lim's too busy boozing it up with the class of 92 to give a shit.
edit: If it says anything about Torres, we sold Gabriel and Francis Coquelin to them who have 'impressed' whoever decides the consensus opinion on these things.
Regardless of thr FA cup, Auba isnt signing a new deal is he?
Who's going to buy him this summer (and pay him a quarter of a million a week) if he doesn't? He may as well accept his certain fate.
Torres'll be switched to full-back by the end of the season and back with Sevilla/Villarreal by the time we've wrapped up our third in a row.
United won't go near another older player on massive wages for a long time.
City have Aguero, United's attention is elsewhere, there is literally not a chance on this planet Liverpool buy him, Chelsea have already committed to buying enough attacking talent haven't they? Barcelona are fucked and don't need another old forward to further stuff things up, Real Madrid are all about getting the bright young things as and when they become available, other European titans are either well covered or probably not interested.
I suppose the best analogy would be when Van Persie went to United but I can't see it happening.
I'm not saying he wouldn't benefit all of those teams, just that paying £50m+ and probably the same again in wages for an ageing forward isn't something a lot of teams are likely to be keen on committing to.
AC Milan are flush again aren't they? So if he wants to trade mid-level shit in "the best league in the world" for a cushty life in Serie A whilst never winning anything I suppose he could have at it. Should stick with Arsenal. There's an outside chance of them being half-decent in a year or so.

Has Aguero actually committed to next year? I assumed he was likely off this summer. I don't think he'd quite cost £50m at the moment though. But if he were much cheaper all those teams listed would be stupid not to. The wages don't really come into it as much as the fee would.
Sunning it up in Turin while raking in the trophies and cash would imo be his best move now.
If Barca were smart they'd swap him for Coutinho who we want for some unidentifiable reason. We haven't even got rid of the last overpaid number 10 in the squad yet.
Aguero's contract is until 2021. He's never going to leave City to go somewhere other than wherever he comes from (Independiente?) so that'd have to be at the end of a contract, you'd think.
Can't see anyone leaving City this summer really as they'll be going all out for the league next season.
Liverpool apparently in for Jamal Lewis for £9m
I absolutely hate to simplify a billion dollar industry ran through mathematical modelling systems designed by the finest minds in existence but...mixed race full backs
0 assists in 28 games. Nice one.
Let’s go for Luke Thomas with his 1 in 15 games instead please.

It is rumoured Aubameyang is happy to sign a deal if the price is right as long as we dont have a summer signing the likes of Ryan fucking Fraser.
SSN are claiming Arsenal have offered Willian a three year deal for less money that Barcelona and Inter Miami are currently offering.
He won’t leave London. Arsenal or Spurs will have to deal with him
Spurs are already over subscribed in his position and his wage demands would be about double what they'd pay.
And Daniel Levy probably bears grudges.
He will go to Arsenal which I think is a bit silly from us.
Imagine signing for Inter Miami.
I'm a twit
Florida is one of the last places you'd want to go right now.
He'll go to Arsenal because he owns a restaurant with David Luiz
I understand the principal of not giving certain players over the age of 30 longer than two year deals. However, players seem fitter and can generally play at a higher level for much longer. It looks like Willian weighs as much as Sky Remote, and half of that is probably his hair. Chances of him getting fat seems slim, even if he is an offneisve Brazilian.
I don't think the concern is physical decline in older players is generally around them getting fat
Arsenal announcing redundancies whilst offering players £250k per week contracts.
I saw that, the tin ear is incredible.
My ITK sources are saying that Willian likes a eclair so Sincere might be onto something.
Sanchez to Milan made official.
*Inter

Dropping his from the wage bill is probably a huge relief for Man Utd. Is he on the same wage at Inter now, have thye just moved his contract?
I believe he's on less at Inter, from what you read.
United will have paid him off.
But yeah, it can't be helpful during contract negotiations with other players to have a useless sack of shit as the highest earner . . .
We needed another modern-day Bogarde. Sanchez managed to get three years out of Man Utd. I think he deserves to be the new benchmark
Stone reported we mutually terminated his contract and agreed to pay part of his remaining wages to do so.
Bales relentless trolling of Zidane and co. really is top level stuff.
Doubly so because Real had the chance to get rid and then suddenly went "Er, actually no" at the last knockings. Glorious stuff.
Bale also gets the high ground because he's not turned shit - he was still playing very well and winning stuff
Bogarde didn't really have a chance to prove if he was shit or not, did he? Wasn't there something about one manager never wanted him brought in and then the next one wanted rid but they couldn't find somebody to take the wages?
Don't care. He was training with the under 12s for the three of the four Chelsea years. He played less than 20 games bringing in 40k per week
Third choice goalkeepers in league two probably earn those type of salaries now
