They will get a few early results and then tank once teams get a look at them and it turns out, wait a minute, all of their players are shit. A bit like Bolton and Hull when they came up.

The stats are never wrong. We're getting another Wilder achievement, I'm just fascinated to see how.
If you watched them play Arsenal in the cup last season, that was a preview. They just overwhelm you with speed and movement and there isn't a player in the XI who isn't contributing. Ball skills are important but far less important than work rate and physical prowess. Their failing on that night was lack of a finisher, so they'll need Rodrigo to score 15 or so, but I can't see them finishing below 8th. Outside chance for 6th if a few things work out in their favour.
Lol they'll finish about 15th.
Quite possibly if you boys make your move for Bielsa early enough (November?).
I love the idea that the Premier League offered the Saudis to go down the arbitration route and they refused. What a dodgy deal it must've been.
The section (I'm guessing it's just a section) of Newcastle fans who spam twitter with various conspiracy theories about it is a sad, sad sight.
Any fan should know by now how reluctant Ashley is to sell us. Every attempted sale has look fantasy or, in the case of this one, was strung out by buyers that were entirely suspicious. If he was out, he'd go full Ellis Short and stop paying money for transfers
We're a stupid bunch, sadly.
ITKs saying official offer is being legalesed up tonight ready to go in for Sancho (we don't officially bid until it's agreed and we know it'll be accepted).
This guy also knows Sancho apparently (there's pictures of them together on instagram if you scroll back a bit but not obvious how well he knows him).

Dortmund have started their face-saving effort as well.
*orders shirt*
Schar leaving would be very shit. Our defence looks very shaky if three of those leave. In addition to Lejeune, United are reportedly keen to offload Fabian Schar, DeAndre Yedlin and Yoshinori Muto - the latter linked with a return to Germany
Inter bids for Kante are a good laugh. The fuck do they think this is, 1998?
A midfield three of kante, Vidal and radja are probably a few years too late but just imagine the distance covered and tackles made.
Ground to Juventus by sounds of it
Giroud?
Ronaldo might hit 45 goals next year with him up front
And I was about to take all bets that Giroud would score more goals in all competitions than Werner.
Alejandro Garnacho, another kid, has joined from Atletico Madrid.
The Italian winger revealed as Amad Traore (18) from Atalanta - https://twitter.com/BritishGQ/status...507005441?s=20
Those who keep asking about Villa's number one this season. It'll be Martinez. Signing this week for 20m.
Wesley back in a month too. Just need a right winger (massively, Rashica rumours picking up again) and a central midfielder (can live without, but need to upgrade Hourihane) and we're not going down this year.
That’s a top 5 in the league keeper you’re getting. Bargain.
Couldn't understand it considering we have Heaton, but then I saw the STATS. Age too. Good deal.

Why would arsenal not give him the no1? He has been there for Artetas best performances. Leno has been injured, he should have to earn his way back to no1
Gutted to lose Martinez, he catches instead of parrying which I prefer but there must be some thinking regarding Leno. Can't keep Martinez as number 2 because he has said he is a number 1 which is fair enough.
Might even change my relegation prediction for Villa based on that move
Flornzi is off to PSG on loan and Chelsea are still splashing the cash on a goalkeeper called Mendy from Rennes. Higuain is also joining Beckham Miami
Klopp saying why would he get Thiago when Gini is better is great.
I'm a twit
Utd have lost one of their prized youth and another of the Irish BLM contingent. It's like the Chelsea operation of signing in acclaimed youth except they don't even wait to monetise them before offloading :*)
West Brom gracing us with 36 year old Ivanovic's booty. What is the point?
I just hope this keeper isn't a Rennes/Petr Cech bung, because if we're going to replace Kepa (who I maintain is ok) then the next one needs to be decent.
Goalkeepers from Africa are usually nuts, so im all for Mendy
Mozambique v Benin. Forget the year. Finished 2-2.
10 years ago now. I was sure it was 2015 or 2017.
Thiago close to going to Utd apparently. I'd imagine he's a relative club-knower from when he almost came before.
I've given up on Sancho.
What are Liverpool playing at there?
No money to spend unless someone leaves. No one looks like leaving.
As someone said on a podcast I was listening to the other day, the stream of big money for all their shite (mainly from Bournemouth) has dried up.
Not so much.
Liverpool have essentially reinvested recent success into the facilities. There was still outstanding on the main stand and have built a new state-of-the-art training ground for £50m all of own earnings, with no loans. The loans of previous regimes are also almost gone.
That's likely over £100m right there and you are right in that no one has come in to buy anyone lately. The virus has hit us a little, but they also don't want to take any risks given we don't know when crowds will actually come back.
The last thing they've done is up the wage bill and by a lot. In times gone by if you wanted the top money you had to go elsewhere, but all of those players who would have been linked away in the Rodgers era(Mane, Salah, Virgil etc) are all signing new deals to stay here. We're 3rd in the wages table now I believe.
And yet all of those players would probably double their money if they moved to either of the Manchesters or one of the traditional European giants.
Liverpool's front three collectively pick-up the same in wages as the United goalkeeper corps.
Yeah United and Chelsea are the only ones ahead of Liverpool in the wage table, even then the latter is only after their hefty recruitment over the summer.
I still feel like a gift horse like Thiago should not be overlooked. Especially as the plan is apparently to use Fabinho as emergency 4th choice CB. Take the game yesterday. Leeds had more possession of the ball. Perhaps some more control of the game in midfield and it's a much more comfortable win. That said, things do then become trickier for the likes of Curtis Jones, who I think is a top talent.
Conceding possession to them is an effective tactical approach to playing this Leeds side. Don't listen to whatever thick black life they've got on TV who is clinging on to the possession stats as if it's a damning indicment of our weakness, the irony is the far superior xG shows we fucking smashed them to shit and yet Jamal Blackman's dad won't hear it.
Presumably two pens help with the xG, but yeah, I stand by none of those Leeds players scoring those goals again given them over 100 times. Maybe Bamford, although I think him trying to fluff it was the key to actually scoring, and the freak occurrence there was the error..
A penalty xg is 0.76.
It's not a paradigm shifting seismic event but that Leeds team had no right to roll up at Anfield and score 3 goals against the self proclaimed greatest team of the millennium so I wouldn't be nay saying that as a freak occurrence completely.
Liverpool were fairly poor for most of last season apart from winning all those games. So many 1 goal wins and all.
Norwich probably played better [last season] in the opening game, but didn't go into freak finish mode so got bunted by a few more.
