They've been desperate to get Traore in there instead of him for a while.
They've been desperate to get Traore in there instead of him for a while.
Traore [quite rightly] got moved to the front three after it became apparent he's wasted as a wing back IIRC. Doherty may also suffer if Spurs go with a flat back 4 but there ain't no denying, he's one of the best out there and will succeed.
Leeds flinging about £30m offers, this time to some physically unimpressive 23 year old Brazillian Lazio CB who is likely to flop but regardless, I don't know who I'll be supporting as my number 1 team this season
Jonny Boy could play there easily enough I guess. If they’re after Maintland-Niles then I presume he’s the RWB they’ll be after
The lack of depth at Wolves needs sorting out. Get some free transfers in and some loans.
Besides, isn’t Jonny afk after having his legs sewn back on? Hence everyone bumming Vinagre in fantasy football.
I'm a twit
Forget Liverpool, forget Leeds, my man Diego Costa is being linked with Spurs. Get Messi on board and they may as well call off every other league around the world.
Is he still an absolute shitehawk or has he calmed down now?
They read like he's a Spurs fan and a witty someone has nabbed his phone.
Makes me worry they’re [Wolves] confident of landing Maitland Niles. The guy has the potential to quite the wing back, so it’d be a damned shame. Coupled with the Bellerin to Juve/PSG rumours it’s a bit unsettling.
Eze to Palace done. Looking forward to watching him.
I'm a twit
Never watched him play but obviously my contacts keep me informed of the progress of anyone with dreadlocks and his stats did seem majestic but having watched a compilation video, he doesn't look particularly fluid or technically gifted enough to be anything special. Great penalty tekkers though.
I've said it before and I'll say it again because I've just seen another video of a topless Thiago Silva putting on a Chelsea shirt; he's gonna get bullied so hard in the prem it's going to be embarrasing.
He's the much needed old, slow defender who by his mystical reputation no refs will give any free kicks against. Actual merit is just not necessary.
Ivan Toney to Brentford looks on. Big Tone.
Rob Holding to Newcastle on loan after this game.
He's a centre back, right? It might be the one position we're absolutely covered in.
Van Der Beek left out of Ajax squad due to an impending transfer according to Ajax mouthpiece journalist. Says it's between Utd and Barca and Romano tweeted that it's not Barca.
I know United 'need creativity' and I have almost no idea of where of how Van Der Beek plays, but wouldn't he be directly competing with the presumably irreplaceable Bruno Fernandes for pitch space? Where does he fit with Pogba as well?
I still think United should be going all out for Ndidi (or someone of that ilk) and maybe a centre-half (if they don't want to give Mike another go) if they want to seriously improve. The attack is fine enough, bit patchy maybe, but I don't see how signing some flouncy albino from Holland is necessarily going to improve a lot in that regard.
I sort of agree, but then I remember the shit they were serving up before January and having one too many good midfielders seems like a decent problem to have.
It wouldnt even be one too many. If you presume the main three are Matic (or Fred if he continues to improve), Bruno and Pogba then the drop off is to Mata, Pereira, Lingard or McTominay. Thats huge. While I think the latter will become a more than serviceable Prem player another good option would be huge
Chelsea signing so absolute giant from Rennes for in goal. Their striker curse is about to be transferred to their keeper curse
Everton have agreed a fee for Allan from Napoli.
Doesn't seem like it's going to be a good signing. Biffing the budget on some 29 year old who's played most of his career in Italy and 'Hamez' Rodriguez seems a bit of an odd policy to me. Couldn't they just get Gueye back off PSG for a fraction of what they sold him for?
Additionally, if Chelsea are going to chuck £90m at Havertz why don't they just not bother and send that A.Madrid's way (+Kepa) for Oblak? I'm sure some sort of mutually beneficial transfer scam could be arranged, those two are on pretty good terms generally, aren't they?
A mononymous Brazilian called "Allan" isn't amounting to shit.
Maybe he’s the reverse of ‘Jorginho’ being the most boring midfielder of all time.
Where do they keep finding these fuckers? How many Brazilian, Freds, Arthurs, Allans and probably fucking Keiths can there be?
I hope it's pronounced All Anne. I still can't get over the shift to Joe Ellington.
Are Everton going to spaff a fortune on three players in the same position again?
They need a replacement for Gueye. Makes sense to me
I fear this could be the end of him. Just as he was likely to replace Coleman too.
Such a dodgy transfer.
As much as Wolves seem to want him gone, it’s odd they couldn’t hold out for more the way prices are these days. Something weird about it.
Something strange there with the fee. We sold Matt Targett a pretty average back up left back last summer for the same amount.
Are Spurs likely to play wing backs next season? I think in a back four he will struggle.
The 10% will be 2 or 3 years income to Bohemians anyway.
I dont understand the sale at all
Another 10m and I can understand the sale but 15m is nothing. Best RB/RWB in the league.
He's decent enough, and a good signing at the price, but you're having a laugh with that.
The long game.
Mourinho usually likes a back 5 that morphs into a back 4. Last season Davies stayed back whilst Aurier was expected to transition between RB and RM. Unfortunately Aurier is an absolute bombscare and is guaranteed a clanger every other game.
Can't say I ever noticed Doherty for Wolves, but being an improvement on Aurier should be pretty easy. Just being competent would do.
