After a mostly shit game, Couto has just volleyed in from the edge of the box. 25 to go but Turkey just can't test the keeper.

Has Recber got his face paint on?
i'm not sure'he's there yet - he's only a 20 year old keeper. No goals for Turkey sends them home early. Shame they've been good value.
In real football news, these are the new V.League dates. Cup game end of this month, league proper starts on 5th June (with crowds expected to be allowed, not yet confirmed)

Watched all the Euro 1996 goals last night. Srnicek would've kept them in it.
Here we go, the day the nation has been waiting for, England v Scotland. A must win for both teams. The old football rivalry
The last time the Scots were at Wembley was all the way back in 1977 when this famously happened:
Obviously a lot has changed since then, hooliganism is down after the tragic events of the 80s with Heysel and Hillsborough, the advent of the Premier League a few years ago has started to see a modernisation in the game and Sky pumping money in. The Scottish league is as strong as ever with super starts like van Hooijdonk, Gascoigne, Collins and Laudrup all plying their trade.
Massive game for Venables.
The other game isn't bad, Spain v France is the early KO. Perennial underachievers Spain looking for their first win after drawing with the Bulgarians and France looking to cement their place into the next round. Hierro v Zidane.Code:GP W D L GF GA GD PTS Bulgaria 2 1 1 0 2 1 1 4 France 1 1 0 0 1 0 1 3 Spain 1 0 1 0 1 1 0 1 Romania 2 0 0 2 0 2 -2 0

Just been watching a few of Matt Le Tissier's goals and it's an absolute disgrace cunts like Gazza and Sheringham are getting in the England team ahead of him because they're mates with the corrupt twat in charge.
Boo!
Never going to win anything with a loser Spurs mentality.
I've looked at the 98 squad to see if I could find a spot for Gascoigne. Merson's replaceable. And Le Tissier's not stretching for that semi-final ball across the box. Not that it changes the result.
EDIT: Rob Lee made that squad. Bizarre.
Every England squad at every tournament has at least three too many Spurs players in it.
What times kickoff?

Criminal that we didnt take Le Tissier, even if he was just a plan B or for penalty shootouts he could have been a difference maker in 96 and 98.
Did anyone notice that Bundesliga (or IFAB) are trialing 5 subs per game. There were 10 substitutions made in the Eintract v Mochengladbach game yesterday.
I dont really have an issue with 5 subs, it probably does slightly favour the bigger sides but it will really help bring young players through at all levels.
Youngsters being with the matchday squad, on the bench and then getting minutes here and there can make such a difference.
Can't wait! Got Three Lions blasting.
I think in the Premier League each team can only stop play 3 times for substitutes, which makes more sense.
The golden rule with giving managers more power to do things (subs, VAR challenges, anything) is they will always use it to break the game up and waste time.
Silly question but how do you access the games on ITV Hub? I found it yesterday on catch up, but I'm guessing it's not catch up that I need.
Dong-Wong Ji starting for Mainz
It's about time the clock is stopped every time it's not in play and we just play for 20 minutes each half.
Thought that was a bit of a soft penalty although it was clumsy by the defender.
VAR took fucking ages.

Because it's ITV everything has to be as difficult as possible.
I think I actually still have ITV 4 so will hopefully watch.
Lovely goal from Koln.
Mainz completely switched off.
Ya, yesterday's Dortmund game was a bit of a blur so this is the first gane I've properly watched and it's been class, can deffo stomach this closed doors nonsense for a short time.
Definitely the best game I’ve seen so far. The pace has been more like what you would expect the other games have mostly been played at pre-season pace. I think in a couple of weeks the players will be a bit more up to speed and the games will be better.
That fourth goal was a b-tech Ben Arfa v Bolton(?) where he literally runs in a straight line and no body comes close to him.
Headline on Guardian Bundesliga article cites 'less diving' without saying anything about it in the actual artivle but it must be true that a lack of crowd will lead to a more honest game. Interesting, that.
I'm just here to watch that Canadian refugee freak up against a 33 year-old Austrian full-back.
Tasty little challenge by the Canadian refugee freak on the old Austrian.
Need 1 more corner in the first half.
They missed a trick not trying to seek this to more countries.
Caminero has just equalised v the French. Djorkeaff early goal had put the French in the lead. Cracking game.
Edit: Final score 1-1.
The BIG GAME is about to start on ITV4.
The girl with the G Nev face paint must have lost a bet right?
I have ITV 4 and it’s not blocked
When was new Wembley? I thought it was in for this.
Also, lol at the Scots booing GSTQ.
Also I thought when watching the Czech / Italy match that Atkinson was better than 99% of current colour commentators. Not obsessed with doing a banter or doling out platitudes about passion and the Right Areas and actually knew what he was on about.
Here we go boys!!!
