There's a scenario where we can win the thing at The Ev.
It's 99% not gonna happen, but if it does.

Why is Guardiola such a nutcase? Why does he always have to come out with a maniacal look in his eye to declare how well they've played when they haven't? They need to reset the way they approach the game against United, like they did against Liverpool last season. Just go for the 0-0 and move on. Not that anyone looks great at the moment, but City do look to have quite a few problems, and Ederson being a total liability probably isn't one they had towards the top of their to-do list.
Edit - doesn't that scenario just require City to lose one of their next two games and Liverpool win at Everton? Although we all know how that goes (see City 2 years ago).
I think they either have to lose one or draw both to win it next Monday.
Given that Arsenal are a walking comedy these days, I don't see them doing anything other than rolling over and getting their belly tickled.
I doubt Arsenal will win but that's an odd reading of this current team.
Given you've only won 5 of 15 in the Prem, it seems a fairly reasonable assertion.
Nah, they could absolutely snag a point.
Let's hope they do.
Fair play to OGS. He may not have a DoF, but his recent transfers have been pretty spot on, albeit quite pricey.
AWB
Daniel James
Harry Maguire
Bruno Fernandes
Has Maguire turned things around? I haven't seen them in ages but he looked woeful early in the season.
Daniel James will amount to nothing.
Daniel James is an embarrassment.
Maguire is better the further back they have to defend, so he was excellent yesterday and when he was heading everything at Everton. He gets a bit exposed pushing up though.
Isn't that sort of the problem with Solskjaer's revolutionary new playing style? Having none of the ball, clogging the defence and midfield and hoping to play on the break is all well and good against an increasingly feckless City side (although it can still go badly wrong) but, effective as it is against City, it only really works against them and basically relies on the other team being rubbish with the ball and/or not scoring a lucky goal themselves? Should be interesting to see the game next weekend. A 'low-block' shit-off for the ages.
I think that's why he wants some more creative attacking players.
Daniel James is a fine option to bring on, but probably won't ever be good enough to command a starting place. Right winger is a big priority in the summer.
Lols and bants aside, Fernandes seems like the first United player I've seen come in for a few years, whose first thought is a forward pass. He must feel like a breath of fresh air.
James seemed like great potential but he's not really going anywhere. Wan-Bissaka seems very good defensively but hit and miss going beyond the halfway line. Maguire seems good in those games where the other team has lots of the ball.
If it is OGS to stay on after the summer, the transition of style is going to be interesting. I imagine most will want to see United to bring in players and start to dominate games more often. We'll see if/how he can go about doing that. I do get the feeling he's still a transitional guy, steadying the ship, easing the fans and pointing it back in the right direction.
AWB is a cheat code. His slide tackles are a thing of beauty.
I think James will end up a solid option. I don’t think he will ever be spectacular but if he can improve his final ball he is always going to cause problems with his pace. Pick his head up a couple of times yesterday and he had two assists. That should come as he gets more experience.
AWB seems to be getting better going forward but has the same problem, that piece of skill to send Zinchenko for a hot dog was a waste when the final ball is dogshit. His defending though
Edit @fox, you couldn’t be more right. Everything about Bruno has lifted the team and actually makes us look like we have ideas going forward.
AWB should be starting for Ingurland.
AWB is brilliant. Yeah he's not that amazing going forwards (although I don't think he's as bad as is made out) but defensively he's an absolute rock. He just needs a quality winger in front of him who he'll completely free up by being so good defensively. Fingers crossed on Sancho.
And yeah as has been said, we haven't had the players to do anything other than play on the break. Players like Bruno Fernandes are the attempt to fix that problem.
I'm all for chucking Paulp Ogba now (just as nobody wants him), not least because him coming back in would ruin the really well balanced midfield.
Man Utd will have no problem moving Pogba. Come the summer, there will be plenty of teams looking to rebuild. The superior blue team across town being one of them.
GET FUCKING RID and spend the money making Ighalo's loan deal permanent. That touch in the last minute off a goal kick set Lukaku's career back eight years.
The holding up and that backheel was glorious.
At this rate you guys are going to need your own graph.
I bet Sven is on a million quid a night for this Monday Night Football appearance.
Villa's controlling player has gone for the old surprise L1 keeper rush there (or whatever button in was on ISS, triangle?) and it hasn't paid off.
Triangle. Horrible when you cock those up.
So, is Mourinho just total dogshit now?
Has he been anything else for ages now?
Lloris really needs some strength in his wrists.
Llolris
Red Bull should have these destroyed by now. They’re faffing like fuck when they go forward.
It's probably a bit harsh on Mourinho to say he's totally lost it when this Spurs team is pretty average/past it at best and almost all of their good players are injured.
Needs the kind of rebuild I'm not really sure he's capable of though.
Mourinho has been shit since Madrid
Gonna be interesting to see who wins our player of the season award. Probably Lo Celso. Maybe Adebayor
I am always willing to kick Jose when he's down, and with a smile on my face. He's contributed to the spiral but this has been coming. As the team has done better, they've somehow managed to make the squad worse. They went from having so many good fullbacks they could alternate them every game to allowing Serge Aurier a weekly performance of his travelling circus.
Is Harry Winks highly related in England? He seems to have a carved out a career and a good reputation. Any time I watch him he scampers around a lot, without showcasing any real ability.
He can’t play in any kind of defensive role. He’s tiny and can’t position himself. He’s alright and I started to enjoy him recently, but I don’t know what his position is
Played really well in the Champions League final. I think he's the sort that looks good if a team is playing well (keeps things ticking over) but when things aren't going so well he's completely useless.
Spurs have too many of those players.
Spurs are pretty wank. Mourinho had a good two years at United to be fair.
I couldn’t stand having a manager watching his team getting outclassed and being too stubborn / stupid to change anything. Can Troy Parrott actually be any worse than Alli has been tonight? Or Lucas?
Dele Alli is one that really needs to go this summer. I bet there’s still some team out there willing to pay 40 million for him
