Cases are on the rise (and have been for some time) but Southend Hospital has just discharged its last remaining Covid Patient. Considering we were in the top 20 places with the highest cases a short while ago, I am assuming this is a pretty widespread thing?
What gives? Are our new treatments that effective? If not what is it? Can we stop fucking around now?
I suspect it's because the increases we're seeing haven't been happening for long enough for it to convert into hispitalisations and the virus has already taken out a fair bit of the low hanging fruit, for want of a better expression.

Possibly, but we've had a pretty sustained level of new Covid cases for months now. To have hospitals with 0 patients seems odd.

Mortality rate is low as well. I decided to see what 0.07% would come up with, seeing as that's the number the Koreans were mentioning early doors. That comes to 46,000 deaths for the UK.
