In other news, someone I know said today that there have been no flu cases reported this year and very little over the winter because they are not being separated/identified from the covid cases, which is artificially inflating the number of covid cases.
The Covid numbers are based on test results.
Plus, Flu being at a low ebb is to be expected with practically no international travel. We base our flu vaccine selection on the strain that is circulating south of the equator during their winter because the expectation is that it will come back over here for our winter. Take travel out of the equation and add masks and social distancing in to the mix and low levels of flu is to be expected.
