I have no idea how Victoria and NSW will cope with covid and another brutal bush fire season.

Isn't your flu season round the corner?
Europe's clearly opting to manage case numbers rather than eliminate them. Holding shit steady until vaccinations happen. I'm not sure Vietnam can have that luxury. I'm not sure what their healthcare capacity is or if they have any vaccines of their own in development.
I'm a twit
You gotta open the picture fully for the payoff, people.
Anyway care to give a basic summary of what all that means regarding the China virus?
You lose your senses for a few months allowing you to recalibrate your dietary choices and you have a bout of athlete's foot.
Being ill is bad for your health.
From a BBC vox pop article. I've had something gnawing at me in terms of a certain attitude that's been winding me up of late and this captures it perfectly.'I'm entitled to travel'
Shona Lille, from Sheffield, said she was "itching" to get away to Ibiza.
"I'm excited," she said. "I'm a traveller and should be in a different country every single month but I haven't been anywhere since last year.
"I will stick to the guidelines, and wear my masks where I have to wear them so I'm doing everything. I just feel that I have the entitlement to travel and I will travel."
You not doing Tirana 2020? Timeout say it's a real gem.
I fucking hate the fetishizing of 'travel'. You like going on holiday. Everyone likes going on holiday. It's not a fucking personality.
These 2 are fair game now the news has posted these photos. They went to an illegal house party in Melbourne then travelled to Sydney then lied about where they had been. Community transmission is confirmed in Logan and South Brisbane.
Edit: These wild sheilas lso stole stuff from luxury high end retail stores. Lol

I had a housemate in Norwich whose entire personality was his travel stories, to the point where, as far as I could tell, he didn't seem to pay any attention to anything that was going on or whatever else normal people at least have a passing interest in. He would just tell you about work (he had done a Masters before I got there and somehow wrangled staying on in the student house) and steer everything round to the time he was whatever in wherever.
'Travel' in this context always means 'Going somewhere I can use to liven up my instagram feed', they're not exactly Ibn Battuta are they.
Ah, a "when I was in-" type. Great fun.
My dad working abroad a lot you got shitloads of these bores who had no other means of relating to anything other than barking their own semi-related story from some obscure destination back at you.
"Ah, that's just like when I was in Baku in 2003." *goes off on a half-hour tangen*
Currently sat in Pret next to Farringdon tube station waiting for a meeting. It's getting busier and busier. I'm in London roughly twice a week now and the train is busier each time. It won't be long until you cannot avoid someone sitting next to you.
This is all just in time for the 2nd wave. Lovely stuff.

Lads, if you're expecting people here to quarantine for 10, don't expect them to quarantine for 14 after visiting Spain.
Hmmm.
https://www.sbs.com.au/news/far-too-...have-no-choiceThis pandemic has starkly revealed the consequences of casualisation in industries such as food distribution, meat processing, health care and private security. In April, a cluster of cases associated with the Cedar Meats abbatoir in Melbourne’s west was traced to casual workers employed by a Brisbane-based labour hire contractor.
In the words of Alan Partridge...it's starrrrrted.
"Separate households banned from meeting up"...up North.

2nd wave fully on the way. Ffs.
I genuinely don't know how or when this will all stop.
It would be a lot simpler if they said it was just ethnics.
If they didn't listen to it in the first place (which I've heard anecdotally regarding Leicester) then I don't know what will change that now.
My patch has seen a doubling in new recorded cases week on week. It's still under 60, but I guess I can look forward to a local lockdown at some point.
Whichever fucker comes up with a working and distributable version of that first should be given a Nobel prize.
This is a shit way to live, utterly shit.
I’ve done mine and am on the wind down now so it doesn’t bother me as much.
Why would they only do it in those parts of the country? There are surely other areas....
Because a high number of people who would celebrate Eid live there.
Got a haircut today and I'm still high on the feeling of normality.
If old people had to stay in because they were at greater risk, why can't brown people be told to do likewise? Especially when they've been moaning about the government not looking out for them. Either it does, and they do that, or they don't, and they can't expect particular treatment.
You know why, surely.
