The 10pm closures are working well...
I've got about ten jokes.
I am constantly amazed by how easily the tinfoil bunch will believe any old shit. Some guy on my FB just shared this:
how?
You couldn't completely rule it out, mind.
How to what?
I would assume better reproductive health services means better access to birth control options, and, whilst perhaps slightly counter-intuitive, better outcomes on infant mortality via vaccination probably correlates to people having less babies in the developing world.
Yep. More women in education results in lower children per family which results in a lower population.
Man on the ground Don reporting in for another post-sesh assessment of state of affairs.
London is same as my Friday report of MK. Controls taking the piss, businesses fucked, melts empowered to snitch on any misdemeanours, society crumbling, anger about to spill out onto the streets. Missed a cracker yesterday but I'm fully there at the next lockdown protest and not solely for the hype and scenes. If I have to form a union with the nutter brigade to fight for what's right then that's just the way it is.
You should run riot with a meat cleaver.
Ben Nevis done and I now can't stand up from a sitting position without grabbing onto something, but despite that it was worth it.
Was it busy? Did Mayar and Dreish that wasn't too bad.
We set off at just before 7 and it was fine on the way up, but a bit congested on the way down.
Absolutely amazing views though and the top felt like I'd walked through a portal to Mordor.
In all seriousness, I think that was my limit.
The way down was horrific, took ages and I still can't stand up without using something to help me.
I'm a twit
It's all about the knees. If you have strong knees then it'll be a lot easier, but I didn't know whether I did or not and it turns out I don't.
I basically only have one knee so it's a no go for me then.
My dad had both knees replaced by 50, and my brother (who's 45) can barely walk because his are so bad.
So I've got that to look forward to.
Mine are nearly gone.
I've heard cycling is good for people with dodgy knees.
A bike or elliptical would definitely be less strain than a treadmill if someone wanted to exercise.
Such genetic flaws are to be expected when you're shagging your cousin, Giggles. Woiiii oiiii
I have one dodgy knee and one dodgy ankle, both rugger bugger related, and cycling is indeed much lower impact. Swimming is even better but a bike seemed easier to organise than an entire pool.
We had something through the door that had some info about a couple of walking trails near me. I'll probably give them a shot at some point.
Great bit on the news - people crying about not being able to visit their 'loved ones' in care homes. Some old lady looking cushty in a nice conservatory of her ample-sized house moaning that 'the carers do great work but they don't know what makes my mum tick, that's why family is so important'. Love, you binned your own mum off to some Zimbabwean nurse, do us a favour.
Andy Burnham calling for a 9pm alcohol curfew on supernarkets too :****)
This whole thing is absolutely mental, and that's having lived through the first lot. Geordies banned from pubs, students locked inside halls of residence, Andy Burnham trying to induce a network of speakeasies across Greater Manchester.
This plan of betting the farm on a quick vaccine is absolutely ridiculous and isn't going to work. Open everything up, tell people to social distance and wash their hands, and let's see how long it takes for the Nightingales to fill up.
Montreal is now CODE RED - lockdown starting Thursday for some reason. I spent the first wave in a barely-locked down Utah so it'll be interesting to finally live a proper one. Interesting and mostly shit, I guess.
Done with college yet?
Cap still on the syringe. Nice little gift for the Anti-vax mob.
My surgery sent out a letter saying they've used all the flu vaccines for 18-64 year olds and cant get anymore.
We're all going to be distancing, sanitising and isolating still anyway, so I'm not sure how much it matters.
Well, those of us without kids at least. Good luck to anyone that has.
Flu is more contagious than Covid, no?
Edit: apparently not.

Well, that certainly shoots the 'it's no worse than flu' brigade. Covid's done 4 season's worth of deaths in the US. In six months.
'according to' - 'a study by' - 'fuck off'.
How is that different from how flu deaths are reported? Is causation not a factor in that?
If you sneeze and die in a car crash you didn't die of flu.
This conversation isn't going to be any less retarded the third time around guys.
Also if the flu variance is 12-61000 (lol) then the Bovid shit must be the same if not even more wide ranging? So we could be looking at less than 5000 deaths lads.

Boris Johnson has apologised saying he "misspoke" when asked to clarify details of new tighter coronavirus restrictions in north-east England.
The rules, banning households from mixing in indoor settings, affect nearly two million people and are due to come into force at midnight.
However, confusion arose over whether this included outdoor settings such as pub beer gardens.
Labour said the PM was "grossly incompetent" for not knowing the rules.
What a shower of shit.
Clarks is gone @waffles
I don't think even the article's author is aware of where exactly he went wrong which is a good reflection of the idiocy of it all.
