What he actually said was "No, when I say I am open, I am open, I cannot say that I am open but I’m closed to someone.

"It’s different if you receive an approach and you listen and say yes or no. That’s different." Which is basically Alphabetti Spaghetti being thrown at a wall and people have taken it however they want.

Reina signed on loan due to Heaton injury. Shrewd.

Still desperate for a centre forward though.

I would like to know what Sporting Lisbon (Saint) have been doing since the summer that they all of a sudden need money. Unless they needed it then but got greedy and played themselves.

    Half right.

Valverde has been sacked and Quique Setien has been brought in on a two and a half year deal.

They've been heading in this direction ever since that nutter lost the court case to that Doyen agency and they've not been in the CL since 2017.

There's been noises about Nketiah to your lot which would work for Arsenal, not sure if he's quite ready though.

Silly season has kicked off for Arsenal fully.

    - John Stones in on loan
    - Lacazette swap for Thomas Lemar
    - Some African billionaire is going to buy the club
    - Someone wants to buy Mustafi

What's the deal with the new Barcelona manager anyway? Have they just appointed the Spanish Sam Allardyce?

The best bit is that click bait Football London site has put up an article where they edit an FM save with said oligarch as the new Arsenal owner and Sugar Daddy turned on then simulated the season, so we know what Mantralux is up to these days.

    That's absolutely amazing.

"A total of £331m was spent on players like Douglas Costa (£60million), Nikola Milenkovic (£53million), Suso (£52million), Hakim Ziyech (£49million), Lucas Digne (£28.5million), Jerome Boateng (£27.5million), Nicolas Otamendi (£23million), Dani Olmo (£20.5million) and Orel Mangala (£17million)."

"Football Manager 2020 predicts that if Dangate were to complete a takeover of the Gunners, the Nigerian could inject the club with the transfer funds to reshape their squad - and allow Arteta to morph into Arsene Wenger's true successor, fourth place finishes and all!"

I either never knew or had forgot that they'd got a second Balde. You'd think they'd have learned their lesson from Bobo.

There needs to be a moratorium on Portuguese speakers coming to England. They're all called some variant of Gelson/Bruno Fernandes/Silva and it has become too confusing.

They are all shite as well, except for the ones with distinctive names.

I’ve dreamed of a ‘Mike’ coming through since they stared putting player name commentary into football games.

Alan Patrick was a perennial fifa favourite from Santos the year Neymar was there.

I think he’d be ideal for the Villa from what I’ve seen. Wesley isn’t isolated like say Joelinton at Newcastle - he’s just not in the right places with enough quality in front of goal from what I’m seeing. I’ve not seen all that much, mind.

‘Enqvist’ is the closest I’ve come so far to something resembling mine. Jo became irrelevant before the transfer to that style.

What's the deal with this Havertz character who seems to have been doing the ludicrous transfer fee rounds for a couple of windows? I don't think I've ever seen him play and, not wanting to be a slave to performance data or whatever, but 2 goals and 1 assist in the league this season doesn't really sound like 'generational talent' material (when, for the sake of comparison, Sancho has 9 goals and 10 assists in the same period in the same league).

When they get somebody to talk about Bundesliga on Football Weekly they bang on about him a lot.

17 goals last season is presumably why but as you say, he seems to have done naff all this year.

Havertz is still a don, he's just playing in a worse team this season after Brandt () fucked off to Dortmund and their defence fell apart. He's also on a sulk because he wasn't allowed to leave as well. He'll probably go to Bayern for less than what Leverkusen were previously offered in the imminent future.
