To be fair, Romano never said it was a done deal. I’m convinced they were close, but then had a look at recent first team appearances and realized he was nowhere near first team standard, so they built in the loan clause (which didn’t go over well with his camp).

    He’s not very good.

He said "said 2 months ago and also 2 weeks ago... he’s going to join Inter!" (tweet since deleted).

    Sneaky bastard.

It still was probably very close to being done.

You know your hobby is the most tragic thing going when Tahith Chong is at the centre of it.

@John, Nathan Oduwa just signed for Dundalk. What was he like in the stint at Rangers? 1 in 15 doesn’t look good on the face of it. What level was it at the time?

We were in the second tier at the time. He wouldn't score goals in the park against a school team, but he generally doesn't try to. He's more concerned with doing tricks on the touchline fifty yards from goal. He has fantastic ability so he'll produce the odd moment but unless he's had a radical change of attitude he's a pound shop Adel Taarabt.

Sound job cheers. You'd imagine him hitting this level would be last chance for attitude change anyway.

Some ITK stuff to keep you ticking over in quarantine:

Apparently Spurs are in an absolute mess financially due to coronavirus and are having to seriously consider selling Kane. United are unsurprisingly interested; we'd pull out of the Grealish transfer (which is all but done) to fund it.

Sancho to United very likely. Bellingham to Dortmund very likely as well.

    Bayern interested in De Gea.

We've had offers for Lingard. Had an offer for Sanchez which would involve us paying 45% of his wage for the rest of his contract. Offers for Mata and Matic turned down.

I can believe Spurs being twatted because of the stadium. And Mourinho could not have been cheap. Newcastle's got the usual takeover talk but, given the coronavirus situation, this might actually be the time to opt in.

How on earth could Spurs be struggling for money. Their owner is worth 4 billion quid. Fuck all on wages too.

Levy is a snake going to the government for bailout money to furlough staff while paying players hundreds of thousands a week.

Yep, only 80% of pay as well so they aren’t even topping it up the cunts.

The top end football response to this in general has been fucking bizarre. This sort of head-in-sand shit coming out even today: https://www.theguardian.com/football...re-end-of-june

It's not starting before September you fucking lunatics. Sorry if the gravy train has shuddered to a halt for a while but, get this, no one cares. Let's hope they all saved a few pennies for tins of rice pudding and didn't piss it all up the wall on sports cars.

They'll get through, on sheer goodwill if they need to. All local community assets will. If there's a reset then the big winners from before have the most to lose.

The fromagerie, fictional or otherwise, is not going to be a survivor of this.

Sancho to Utd as good as done.
    Chelsea after Coutinho.
Grealish to Utd also still on.
Barca and Utd both made approaches for Harry Kane.

No chance will Man United sign Sancho, Grealish and Kane in the same season nor in this lifetime.

The Kane move is one of those that will rumble on, I doubt any enquiry was made with a view to a transfer this summer.

I don't think we'll get Kane. If he's really available then Levy will sell him abroad.

I think we'll get Sancho. Grealish will probably depend on how the season finishes (or doesn't).

Grealish to Utd done, Ł60m when the window opens.
    Sancho agreed in principle, €110m.
Pogba will sign a new contract.
Kane was a non-starter, Levi refused to point blank. Back in for Moussa Dembele.
3 Premier League teams (including United) + Madrid in for Upamecano. No idea where he'll go.
Sanchez will be back next season, can't get rid.
Smalling will probably stay out on loan.
    Romero to leave.

    Non-United stuff
Werner to Liverpool on hold because of finances (as a result of covid)
Bayern to sign Havertz and Sane
Lautaro Martinez rejected an offer to join Barca, may go to Man City
    Spurs interested in Mattias Ginter
Zakaria will likely leave, has lots of offers from around europe

Will the transfer window be at the same time as usual? Will players transfer before the season ends? Or will the teansfer window be pushed back till after competitions have finished?

I can't imagine transfers will be allowed until the current campaign is concluded in some way or another, and with the Champions League apparently running until the end of August there's probably going to have to be a mad week or two at some point to squeeze everything in before THE FOOTBALL can start up again next season, which is apparently of paramount importance.

Agents and clubs negotiating multi-million pound transfers now is proper deck chairs on the Titanic stuff. There won't be the money there to spend, especially on wages.

I've seen bits on a few sites saying United still stand to be in reasonable nick because of the number of sponsorships they have that owe nothing to being on TV or matchday. I dunno if it's true but it's been written about in a handful of different places. Could just be one iffy source that's being parrotted of course but if the deal is based on Jesse Lingard dabbing in front of a mobility scooter or whatever then I can see the logic in it.

Thank you Mr Ashley for our local fanbase. God knows where they'd be without him.
