This is why I laugh at people who say they should scrap the League Cup. It’s secretly the best competition.
People moan about the existence of every match that isn't a TOP league clash or a Champions League knockout game.
The League Cup is ace, and the finals not involving City are always the best finals.
I know this isn't @ me, but I'd like to take this moment to clarify that my comment wasn't a dig at the league cup PER SE, just that in the context of Liverpool's season it's worth chucking. With their small squad and how important winning the league is after a bazillion years, I'd probably include the champions league in that. If i was a liverpool fan, coming 2nd in the league and winning the champs league again would probably be as disappointing as coming 2nd and winning the league cup, tbh.

Interesting from Klopp afterwards. The QF round is due to be played the week before Christmas, however Liverpool are in Qatar for the Club World Cup that week. A further problem added in is that we're already due to play 2 games a week from now until January, so there really isn't anywhere else to put the tie.
He's suggested that if the proposed date isn't suitable that he'll just withdraw us and send Arsenal through.
