Neither us, NI, or Scotland have any talent but the first two make up for it in a limited way with a bit of heart and backbone.

Both of them probably. NI are mostly only dealing with half a population with the other half playing our national sport too.

I used to go to Highland Games quite a lot and Scots would even lose at that to the visiting Australians and Canadians. Winning just isn't in their nature.

The SFA are absolute jokers which doesn’t help. They have enough decent players but the lack of centre halves or striker doesn’t help much. Ryan Fraser, Andy Robertson, Kieran Tierney, Scott McTominay, John McGinn, James Forrest, Ryan Christie and even Olly McBurnie are all good players for their teams at a decent level. The talent is much better than it has been recently.

Billy Gilmour could have done with being a defender rather than an another midfield player for when he breaks through.

I never understand how Tom Cairney doesn’t ever get a game. He’s miles better than most of the dross that gets a Scotland call up.

True but then they’re not short on players in that position. John McGinn walks into most teams after all.

Valencia have sacked Marcelino, with Barcelona at the weekend and Chelsea next week.

Has anyone tried Premier Sports and liked their coverage? I'm a bit miffed by Eleven Sports losing the La Liga rights, because it'd have been cheaper to have that than Premier Sports.

Cheers yeah I saw one of the Barcelona games on there, but unfortunately Premier Sports have picked up exclusive rights - so no more games on ITV4. They are showing some on FreeSports though.

I missed that the Costa Rica manager had resigned because he "didn't know being a national team manager was so boring."

I would love to be Costa Rica manager, if there are any execs from their FA reading.

I can't guarantee you World Cup qualification, but I promise not to resign due to boredom.

Nah, I'd snap up a commentators job. Just let me replace Ray Hudson. I'll live longer than him and work for less.

Only youth players have scored for Chelsea so far in the league. I for one am absolutely shocked the best youth academy in the world have decent players in it.

Mount, Abraham and James had sort of high hopes around them to various degrees, but Tomori is a real bonus. No idea how we will cope with the CL games but whatever.

Also I didn't think Abraham would score this many in two years. Clinical so far.

Thank fuck for that transfer ban. Our match went pretty much to form. Steve puts on an okay siege mentality but, when we need to go forward, we've got nowt.

Dreadful game but a win and a clean sheet with Pogba and Martial out is a good result.

Angel Gomes needs giving some chances, Pereira and Mata offer nothing.

Leicester and Wolves putting pay to any idea of them challenging the top 6 with those results today.

Going off the team sheet alone United were there for the taking.

Didn’t realise Man City had the jokers back in defence. That was utterly pathetic. Brilliant pass by Pukki, clearly plays FIFA. Not enough players pass in the situation.

Imagine resting the most in form player in the league already though.

Rested? He set up Norwich's second goal.

As much as I'm enjoying Norwich being ahead, City need to buck their ideas up or this might actually be Liverpool's year
