Ground out about 8 Squad Battles wins tonight for various objectives and Icon Swaps. It leaves me about 14k away from Level 20 with a week to go, and Week 2 - Gold still to complete. Should be comfortable in getting to Aouar.
Squad Battles had me tearing my hair out at some points though - the same old irritations and issues with bronze strikers sprinting through and chipping the keeper, every header being lost despite fielding absolute tanks at CB from the Championship and Scottish Prem, you know the drill. However, only 2 more wins with the Champ/Scottish Prem, and 3 more legendary wins with the Eredivisie team. Then it's on to the online objectives next week.
I was also tempted to stream some of my FUT Champions games tomorrow night. I want to get as close to playing all 30 as possible, and I can't wait to see how POTM Werner performs.

Rattled through another 6 of the Liga NOS SBC, taking me up to 13/18, for about 40k. Then I packed Thiago Silva to offset 26k of that. I have a few silvers that should be worth a few K too (Billy Sharp etc) but I will sort those later on.
Will do the Bronze objectives tomorrow and take Aouar.
Think I will take Koeman first, but then not sure what to do with the rest of the tokens. Zanetti already has RB locked down. I'm looking at Lineker, Campbell or Socrates as the other choice.

They normally don't give out back-to-back in form cards, so I'd say he wont get one.
Haaland might get POTM. Only two games this month and he bagged 5 off the bench.
Just played 2 rivals and I was getting beaten 2-0 at half time in each (my players were all over the place) and yet in the second half it felt like they had all their attributes turned back up to their full value.
Won the first 4-2 and the second 5-2 quite easily. In the second match I only had 6 shots on target too.
I felt like that in a few games today. Orsic is done and in the club though. I still dont like my Bundesliga team. The midfield (Gold Goretzka, Gold Thiago and FUTMAS Wistel) feels non existant for large parts of the game.

Got an untradeable Kante earlier from a Seasons pack, which was nice.
Tempted to do the 91 Suarez, but I'm in that weird kinda place where I keep sketching out team ideas in the Squad Builder but can't quite commit to any one.
This WL was really bad for me. I couldn't defend to save my life. It was really hard. I was really frustrated. It seemed like i was always half a second too late with the tackle button but my oppoenent would mimick every move i did while dribbling.
This patch is pissing me off so much.
My defenders just stand around if they're on AI, if I try manual tackles 90% of the time the ball will just rebound kindly for the attacker, my attackers are under constant pressure, I can't pass, I seem to suffer from button lag constantly etc etc.

In doing all the Squad Battles objectives for Plea, Orsic and Icon Swaps, I worked my way up to Elite 1 yesterday afternoon. Come midnight and I'd missed out by about 200 points, so had to settle for Elite 2 rewards, and subsequently packed naff all, Pepe (CB) being the best pull.
Ended up 14-9 in the Weekend League. It could have been better as I was 11-4, and tempted to push for 17 wins, but a quick run of losses against drop back teams really caused me to run out of time (and patience). 89 Werner was really good, but he is crippled somewhat when you play against teams that camp in the penalty box. I think he managed 21 goals and 10 assists in the 23 games, so still a good return.
I hate to say it, but The Agent is right here. I couldn't phrase it better myself. It feels the same for me

While many will complain that he's a nobody, that new milestone player is a serious defensive CDM.
He looks like he might be what my midfield was missing the other day. Someone with aggression and energy.

Think I've used up all my luck now. Haven't had a single walkout since the TOTY pack opening.
I submitted my Union Berlin squad to the SBC about 20 minutes before the new Bundesliga storyline card was released. Guess I'll be spending another 5k+ for a shitty silver striker to get that done then.
To be honest, I enjoyed the grind last night - gameplay wasn't bad at all. Managed to get 2 wins with Croatian goalscorers (Perisic helping out), 3 goals from crosses, 2 wins with Serie A and 1 win with Premier League first owned squads. Still lounging around in Div 6 between 800-850 skill points.
I'm tempted to do the Flashback Valbuena, just to up my stock of off-meta French players. Bahebeck, Maolida, Niakate, Valbuena, TOTT Benzema....
If that card has perfect rates for a CDM, I would be all over it but with it being HIGH/HIGH, I'm not interested.

I think it still plays a part. I played 5212 over the weekend with both CMs, Witsel and Delaney on stay back when attacking. Delleney was in the box constantly looking for action.

I've spent a load of coins on various cheap-ish players across the top leagues in the hope that I can cash in at some point. It's a nice way to learn the market and play it.
Just one more objective to go to gain Orsic, I finished off the wins with Croatian goalscorers last night. Now I just need 6 more goals with midfielders who have a 4* weak foot. I forgot to position change Perisic back from LW otherwise I would probably have finished this already.
I also need 1 more Serie A win, 1 more Premier League win and all 4 Ligue 1 wins for the online Icon Swaps. I'll take Koeman after my next win.

Unfortunately not, it's what it says on the card. I changed him from LM to LW for my Weekend League squad so none of his goals have counted towards it. It shouldn't be an issue, I should breeze through it tonight, fingers crossed.
For the crosses, I'd just go 4-2-4 in games where I was easily winning or losing and focus completely on getting low crosses in. Took a few games but got there in the end.
Plea and Ilicic HL upgrades already
Goretzka looks quality too. Hoping for him in the red picks as a direct upgrade/replacement to 85 Tolisso who I'm still using. Plea upgrading might make me think about going 2 up top alongside 89 Werner.
Pereira is good, but the rest are pretty meh.
Jovic SBC out too - looks ok but I think most people are saving for Friday and he's not massively better than, say, Benzema.
Faster, much better dribbling and 5* WF though.
Both with shit work rates though.
Plus he's like 150k versus 26k
Sadly strikers with m/m need to be avoided at all costs, they're just shit.
