This is my team now. Varane seems awful. Its like he cant turn when defending. Gerrard seens solid, howevef with an engine. He does not seem to tackle that well so ill try him with an anchor . 4231 in game with mbappe at ST

I've also got a shitload of players in the club that I'll be converting to other packs, but I'll wait to see what other upgrade SBC's land before doing so. Aim is to start on Saturday evening again and run through the night, recycling everything until I'm done. Albeit that might change due to the iconswaps objectives as I'll need to leave myself some standard gold cards to do those.
Oh and I've left the bronzes and silver packs in there as I'm convinced they help to break up the cycle of inevitably packing nothing after you've hit a reasonably big card.
If anyone would like to put a sensible value on the other packs that could contain rare gold cards I'll add those in. Still have rank 2 div rivals rewards to come tomorrow morning too, so think I'll be over 2m worth of packs which could contain rare golds by the weekend.
Might chuck whatever I need at the Bundesliga to finish that off and run through the worthwhile packs from that and Serie A again too.

I’d probably need about 4-6 times that amount of packs for it to be statistically likely.
Is there any other game that you need to pump thousands of pounds in order to get the best available team/gun/tactic/car/etc?
Most EA games, the 2k NBA games, there are a lot of mobile games etc.

I packed Messi TOTY in 18 and an untradeable Varane TOTY last year so I should be on for something decent again this year.
The upgrades SBC’s are out and they are good. We’re going all in.

7 premier league players in the TOTY. I don't know why anyone would do any of the other league upgrades.
It's difficult, because that'll just mean the pack weight for TOTY's in the Premier League will be the lowest of any league.

More untradeables in these upgrade packs. I guess EA have realised that constraining supply is super effective at increasing player spend whilst still keeping people engaged in the game.
I have a total of 54 packs made up of two rare players (from the Gold Upgrade) and those PL upgrade packs.
I now have fuck all golds sub 82.
These upgrade packs have always been untradeable, they're not the problem.
The untradeable SBC packs for players (like Dave Luiz) are as you could do a higher priced SBC in the hopes that a good pull or two would make it feel more worthwhile.
Got IF Grealish from one of the Prem packs.
Tempted to pick up Grealish + Maddison. Delofeu looks alright too.
Up to 148 packs in store now and have 6 to come from Div Rivals and (maybe) another 5 from MM's. The reason I say maybe is that I have 139 rare golds in the club and 343 common golds, which converts to 13 Premium Upgrade Packs and 31 standard upgrade packs. I'd rather use the rares in the Premium Upgrade packs so it depends what comes from the MM requirements, but if half of the 44 players can be done with bronze or silvers and only a handful of rares then I'll do them.
Either way, that should take me to over 200 packs to kick things off with, which is close to last year. The kicker then comes is that you can keep recycling these fuckers and it genuinely goes on forever.
I've run the maths and while the golds I have start with me 13 premium upgrade packs and 31 standard upgrade packs, you can recycle the starting pool 6 fucking times, to end up with 24 Premium Upgrade Packs and 62 standard upgrade packs. This doesn't count the 150 packs I'll have before I make any upgrade packs, nor the silvers and nor the bronzes that I have in the club.
The downside is two-fold. Time (this shit takes forever, the bloke I mentioned upthread wil genuinely struggle to open all of his packs) and (as every fucker is going to be opening them) the pack odds for the PL upgrade packs are going to be at the lowest levels we've ever seen. But oh my, what a grind.

So the plan:
Thursday: Finish the two Ligue 1 milestone team objectives I can still do. Do the standard TOTY SBC upgrade if they release one. Assess whether it's worth doing MM's and do it if so.
Friday: See what the Futswap and player objectives there are and maybe do some of them. Do the standard TOTY SBC if there is one and then start building the fuck out of the packs.
Saturday: Carry on the building. Opening will start about 5-6.
I should be able to pack enough good players to do Suarez reasonably easily and hopefully Rooney too should he come, which would be two great additions to the squad and that plus the hope of packing a TOTY (the hope fades badly by 4am) makes gutting the club of most of what I have worthwhile. I'll keep rare bronzes/silvers, SBC league bronzes/silvers and the special cards, but everything else can go.
Looking back at last year's thread, I opened one-hundred and thirty nine La Liga Premium Ugrade Packs and didn't get a TOTY. I know the odds said I shouldn't have done but that's properly mental. 3.5m coins worth of packs.
Iniesta will be done when I finish this squad battle in about 10 mins. Decided to spam attribute cards in my later games. FB Mata being a god with a +6 card on him.
Beat a team with 8 icons in the last game. Looked like someone went mad on the base icon SBC and made out pretty well.

It would involve changing my team significantly, but he's the one I think I'd like to pack if I could choose.

I've just packed my first decent player. I had two previous walkouts in Lacazette and Alderweireld and I've just packed Heung Min-Son.
I wanted to try him out last week but thought 250k was a bit hefty for a regular with 4 specials.
Yeah, it takes forever. I might start tomorrow night now if I've built all the packs.

I've pack 5 walkouts in Heung Min-Son, Lacazette x2, Alderweireld and IF Maddison which is pretty shit considering how many packs I've opened now.
