Your favourite thing of the week

In this thread, we share our favourite thing of the week. It can be a song or album, a goal, an anecdote--anything, really.

I'll kick it off with @Toby being obsessed with this straightforwardly charming pop-rock album called 'Future Me Hates Me' by The Beths.

I did one of those you-play-one-I-play-one apps on Spotify (ages ago back when Spotify had apps) with Toby.

He just kept putting on really depressing indie tracks about how terrible life is. Was a right shitter.

I'm really into ABBA at the moment. I'd forgotten how good they were.

I had haggis, neeps and tatties tonight. An excellent plate of mush.

I saw a proper (wild) haggis in the supermarket yesterday (one of the serves 10 types) and it was tempting. A magnificent wee beastie.

I tried out haggis pizza a couple of weeks ago. Not worth doing again, but it was alright.

This week hasn't been the best, but I quite like that I've realised I can get away with being extremely direct with annoying people at work. I know its a bit dickheadish, but when I'm tired I don't want to hear about the sad, boring lives of colleagues.

Smashing City will cheer me up, though.

I want to like it, as it sounds distinct, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to know what I'm listening to in any detail. I'll stick with Panda's album.

Whilst I understand the sentient, I'm not sure that story really fits that narrative.

Only The Smart State™ would instal something in such a way as to render it almost entirely pointless, mind.

The Council are run by property developers of the gross cocaine kind. The Commonwealth Games was ripe for the taking...

We are deadset the bogan state for the most part.

I was trying to find a famous Lucas form the UK but couldn't. However, I did find that there was a spike in children named Lucas in 2009 due to these two from Eastenders/Spooks causing multiple demographics to take to the name.

The Eastenders Lucas was great. I was still watching it at that point. He lost his marbles and went on a bit of a murdering spree, if my memory serves me correctly.
