A few good things coming back.
The Returned season 2 (French version), just watched the first episode of Fargo season 2. Think that'll take me a while to get into as I loved the characters in season 1.
Catastrophe is coming back next week, which is the best comedy in recent years.

I'm leaving Leftovers at one season, might not bother with Homeland again too. I started Fargo which was good, you don't need to have seen the first season right?
Is that because you're happy with it as a self contained story, didn't enjoy the first enough to continue with it, or aren't confident they can get a decent second season out of it? If it's the former or the latter, early indications are that they're doing something of value with it, so you might want to reconsider that.
It's a mix of being happy enough with it ending as it did in S1 and a load of other stuff starting at the moment taking precedence. I might just binge the whole season later instead if it is a decent followup.
Brooklyn Nine Nine's started up again. Not at their peak to begin with, but it's given them something to build on for the season.
I'm in counselling at the moment after watching the first three episodes of Asian Provocateur and enjoying it.
I think they're bumping up against their limitations at this point. Where Parks could be a bit more flexible with job titles and have characters constantly shifting, the latest Holt arc shows that they just don't have the same latitude in this setting.
There was one line in that latest episode that came off like Stewart Lee writing jokes for them though, which generated my biggest laugh of the series so far, I think.

Started watching season one of True Detective. It's a bit good, innit?
Finished the first season of True Detective. It was great.
Started the second now. Not liking it as much. How did it turn out in the end? Was it good?
I gave up after a couple, went back, and then gave up again after five. It was never going to be as good as the first series, few things are, but it was pish.
Homeland is extremely good after the first two episodes. Not sure why it has been criticised.
Then again I've just read the article that Mahow linked and it's not really a criticism of the quality of TV. So maybe I'm just off on one.
Either way, it's good.
Is there any character on television that makes as many poor decisions as Laurel? It's not even the amount of ones that she gets wrong but the sheer ratio of terrible decisions to good is 99:1.

Watched the first five episodes of the second series of Gotham today to catch myself up. Keeping up the improvement seen at the end of the first and so much better than how that started.
Also, You're the Worst is moving into interesting territory with its latest episode last night.
Hmm. The first episode didn't grip me in the way the first episode of the first season did. I think I'll leave it for now and come back to it later.

I heard Rob with Maconie and it sounded brilliant to be honest. Can't believe it's on 4. Going to catch up tonight.
I may have liked it more had it been something under a different name. It was just unfortunate it had the True Detective name and the burden of expectation that came with it, so the disappointment killed it for me.
I want to watch Leftovers too. I stopped during that loopy start to the first episode but I went back to the first series after stopping and was glad I did, so I'll give the second the benefit for now too.

I thought the last episode was pretty decent. The rest is largely tedious but with the odd bit of hilariously bad dialogue to keep you going.
So Catastrophe is well worth a watch, binged the first four episodes and the only shit thing was the constant fucking about with 4OD and the relentless adverts.
