I did wonder, such a weird mix of cast too. DS Arnott, Jorah Mormont and the bird with no tits from Schitt's Creek.

Watched The Last of Us, maybe it was the hype but honestly was a bit underwhelmed. The first part I enjoyed but I felt the Ellie actress was pretty weak.
I felt both Pedro and the kid looked ace for the roles, but I'm not sure I have much interest in seeing this story play out this close to the game yet another time.
I’ve just copped that this massively hyped tv show isn’t based on the game with the armless little spacemen. It makes a bit more sense now.
If they have any sense, they'll do one series and call it quits. They won't though. American TV doesn't stop.
Just finished both seasons of White Lotus. It's just a load of pretty people in pretty locations based around pretty shit plots. Copious sex and nudity drives the entire thing and it has some solid moments, overall, very inoffensive fun.
Introducing me to this was a big big plus though:
Three years after everyone else, am working my way through The Last Dance. It's not my game and I've heard of very few of the basketballers featured. As a sports doc I'm not sure it's quite worthy of the hype - it's like most half decent sports docs I've seen (maybe the subject matter makes it mean more to NBA fans).
However, as a piece of Americana it's magnificent. There is so much there about late 20th century America, implicit but in plain sight. I also love the contrast between the men featured at the time and the same men interviewed 20 years later for the doc.
The hype factor of it being the only new sports content released 3 weeks into lockdown needs to be acknowledged. Also the huge amount of lies told by Michael Jordan is just funny.
What were some of the lies?
One Man And His Shoes is a better documentary, and a better look at “20th century America.”
I'm a twit
Why would Michael Jordan lie about that?
Started and finished Andor over the last week or so. It's pretty fucking good.
I need to give Rogue One a watch again because I couldn't remember much from it though.

Episode 2 was good stuff. Idk if that’s because there were a couple of scenes I remember well from the game though
I liked The Last Dance a lot.
So did I. Very much printing the legend but it's told in a really enjoyable way.
This, I've watched the first 2 episodes on the promise of incredible TV. All I'm getting is an incredibly dragged out run of the mill zombie affair. Not a single original or notable aspect to it and now I'm in it until late March just because it's an inoffensive watch and it's been a while since I watched a good zombie affair.
It's just the video game nerds hyping it up, because they loved the game.
I enjoyed it but one downpoint is that I knew what was going to happen across both episodes as it stuck pretty rigidly to the game, dialogue and all. The starting bits with John Hannah and then the Indonesian professor were great because they were both brand new and hinted at what happened before, which is what too many of these shows leave out.
That cordyceps explanation's a bit shit. We've just been through a pandemic and know how the media would report that. Why do we need a 60's flashback?
Started on Welcome to Wrexham the other day and it's really good.
I'd like to see more of the Wrexham fan that hates his job as a painter, he's good value.
Episode 10 of Andor is one of the best things I've watched in ages. Amazing TV.

I think I’m going to watch it again.
Yeah that episode. Absolutely brilliant. They built it up perfectly and didn't go over the top with any of it.
Such a top quality cast as well.
Best show I’ve watched in a long time.
Totally caught me off guard too because I went in with zero expectations as I didn't really see what the point of it was.
Episode 11 also fucking hell.
I watched episode one of Early Doors on my dinner. Haven’t watched it since it was originally on tele. Very funny. Wish I’d seen it live when it was on not that long ago.

I love Early Doors. Watched it through a few times over the years. Boring couple (can't remember names) are some of the best observed characters in British comedy.
Top Boy has me reeling.
Lockwood & Co is surprisingly great.
Can't wait until Netflix cancels it in a couple of months.
I love Early Doors but I'm glad they stopped at two series going by the way the Royle Family characters turned into braindead morons as the Christmas specials piled up.
The Royle Family's third series being entirely "lol we're neglecting a baby" was certainly a choice.
Never heard of Early Doors, will give it a shot.
Last of Us: Episode 3

I am moderately concerned there is not enough time in the final episode of Happy Valley to satisfactorily resolve everything.
Been rewatching through Seinfeld again recently.
The final season is toss, and the first 2 or so are a bit hit and miss but the middle series are still cracking.
It's more or less continuous quality from the first mention of Art Vandelay until the end of series 7. 3-5 probably the apex run but a lot of the oft-quoted episodes are from later.
Frasier > Seinfeld.
I enjoyed the head-to-head. Thought Ryan would/should have had a bigger role to play.
How do these BBC dramas creep up on me as MASSIVE and everyone's watching them without me ever having heard of them? Same thing happened with Bodyguard and that bent coppers thing.
It was more the thirty seconds of dialogue wrapping it all up making all that screentime seem like a waste. In the series two finale the main plot was wrapped up by the half hour mark so the B plot got a gripping ending. So it seemed a bit jarring this time, understandably they focused more on the TLR part. Interested to find out what the alternate endings were.

This can only be good.
Good news for Kelsey Grammer at least, pressure's off now.
