I've never skipped it so it works.
I've never skipped it so it works.
I never skipped it and I even watched it a few times in YouTube after.
S2 of Dark boxed off. Can't help but feel in an effort to tie up loose ends the show has gone over the edge. It remains gripping, but S1 was fucking flawless tele.
Anyone a fan of The Young Ones.
I got the new blu ray for Christmas and loving it.
The racist copper skit aside, I guess.
I’ve seen it before but never full episodes, and not for a long time. Rik Mayall is so funny in it. Neil is also outstanding.

Yeah it's brilliant.
Binged Squid Game over the past few nights. Phenomenal.
Just finished Severance and Bernanke was bang on comparing it to the heights of early Lost, incredible stuff. Now just give me a final second series that gives me all the answers but for now, just let me bask in this glorious afterglow.
What platform is Severance on?
7 day free trial here I come.
Slow Horses is good too while you've got it.
Watched the vampire episode last night. Mikes yeah Im concerned on behalf of Neil and Rik when it was announced that vampires only kill virgins was great.
Im really enjoying it. Season 1 was probably noticeably better, but 2 is still good. Neil creating the shopping list we need everything except urine samples, green globules and super mousse everything? okay lentils wallpaper
And the whole thing with Viv and Neil trying to get the lentils out the cupboard without breaking all the crockery had me in stitches.
Great show. Actually really enjoying the Alexei Sayle characters/interruptions too.

Have you seen Bottom?
Slow Horses series 1 was good. Havent got to the 2nd yet.
Just signed up for 9 months free of Apple TV, so I'll be getting on that.
What else is worth watching on Apple TV?
I got 6 months through Sky (which admittedly involved signing up to and downloading their filthy app) and 3 months from a new iPhone.
5 episodes into Ted Lasso and it's the most feelgood thing I've seen in a long time.
Happy Valley excellent as always.
Is all of this latest series available yet Lofty?
This is true. Got to love how they don't piss about with the story development. It's always moving on at a fair old clip. I just finished season three and am already looking forward to seeing where they will take it with the time jump into season four, whenever that might come along.

Watched Wednesday the other day. Was an enjoyable watch for what it is, but as is the case with such shows the hype is a bit too much. I found that all of the older Addams members felt miscast. Fred Arnisen as Fester being the biggest offender, but Zeta Jones didn't do it for me as Morticia, and while Guzman is closer to the original comics in terms of appearance from what I've been told, I didn't really think he fit the role.
Also watched The Witcher: Blood Origin, which (unsurprisingly mind you) was garbage.

Yeah, I was mooting The Witcher thing myself but the trailer looks bad. I'm not on board with all the faux-outrage about it being too "diverse" or whatever either (which seems to dominate a lot of the internet chatter around it), that's daft. Nerds moaning about the race of the actors playing a load of made up people in a fantasy land need to have a fucking word with themselves.
It just looks a bit, I don't know, naff. For want of a better word. Sort of cheap looking somehow. I can't explain really. And obviously I know the reviews have been less than favourable.
Even the main show, now that I know Cavill is leaving, I have sort of lost interest. Which is a shame because I mostly enjoyed the first two seasons (the first was better than the second), but knowing they're recasting him just puts me off even wanting to bother with it anymore. I don't want to say he totally carries the show but I do think he's a very good Geralt. They should have left it until after season three aired to announce it because it's sort of prematurely killed any buzz it had.
I haven't started on it yet, I'm sure I will but I do have that feeling now that Cavill is leaving.
Such a shame as he was perfect in the role.
I honestly think Hemsworth will do a decent job, the issue mainly is that Cavill was, by all accounts, heavily invested into staying true to the source material, while the creators aren't and they'd rather let him go than adjust their mindset. That's never a good sign, surely?
As for Blood Origins, it covers something that the books don't talk a whole lot about (if memory serves me well, I read them after the second game came out so it's been a while) so they had to improvise and they're not at all good at that. The dialogues are fairly idiotic (the main series suffers from that too), the acting is comically bad and the plot could have well been covered over an hour or so but they stretched it to 4 episodes so it gets lost.
1899 has been cancelled by Netflix. We binged it this weekend (and loved it), so that's just perfect timing with the announcement.
I tried that but I am currently not able to watch anything bleak or harrowing in any way. Seemed good though.
I watched about half of it, until it started turning into complete nonsense. It was pretty good until the point I watched. Would keep watching, but now that I know it has been canned, I will not. Reminds me why I don't bother with TV shows these days unless it is something old enough that I know it is a finished product.
Yeah I typically wait until a series is finished nowadays. In part because of the cancelling thing, but also I often can't be arsed waiting for new seasons.
Surely you gotta really be going through some shite to be consuming stuff that's been deemed not worthy of churning out by Netflix.
Even if it is not cancelled, watching shit that is written a little at a time as opposed to created as a whole always ends up in disappointment.
The Patient is absolutely brilliant.
My missus has binged The Rig and I’ve only been semi watching but fuck me it’s absolutely tragic. Don’t waste your time. The acting is absolutely terrible as well which is a bit odd as the cast aren’t half bad.
I started that last night and watched two episodes but I don't feel particularly drawn to watch any more. Shame as the cast is good, like you say.

The Last of Us is reviewing pretty great. This might be HBOs next megahit given the amount of fans there are of the games.
Season 3 of Dark has well and truly gone over the edge of the cliff.
The Rig on Prime has pissed me off beyond measure. It's as if they got Spielberg and his writing team in to do the first few episodes, then ran out of budget and let the students at the local college finish it off.
Wooden acting aside, it was looking promising 2 episodes in.
