The Class of 92 Salford FC doc continues tonight, just started. BBC1.

The first part was really good. @Yevrah, did you catch it?

I thought it was pretty laughable for the most part. It did highlight the fundamental hypocrisy at the heart of football though.

I'm annoyed I'd set it to record alongside The Last Kingdom, so I've had to stop watching Fawlty Towers.

It's a weekly documentary on Salford FC, the team they own.

There's always something a bit galling about watching multi-millionaires patronise minimum wage volunteers.

Having just tuned in, what the fuck is this?

I knew they owned Salford, but am I really expected to believe that Gary Neville oversees the management of catering?

Both this manager and the manager who was sacked last week seem like absolutely despicable human beings. Would football be any worse if managers were all nice and avuncular?

Shouting your head off doesn't work as a motivation tool, so it'd probably be better.

To be fair, who else would? They're a volunteer-run club.

Two episodes in, Master of None seems pretty good. It's written by Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang (who wrote some Parks and Recreation episodes), and I'd say if you like anything involving him it's worth a look.

I'll probably have watched the lot by this time tomorrow. It really is great.

I was thinking his parents were in some strange middleground between really bad actors and weirdly natural fits for their roles, only to find it perfectly explained by them being Ansari's actual parents.

The soundtrack is also brilliant. The whole thing reminds me a little of High Maintenance.

He just plays himself really, it's a lot like Louie in that all his character traits are reflected in his stand up. He has a really infectious enthusiasm sort of thing going on though, it's impossible not to at least smile at it.

Master of None is good fun but Kelvin Yu is an appalling actor.

Alan Yang was in a load of Parks episodes, as well as writing loads and essentially becoming the showrunner once Mike Schur started splitting his time between that and Brooklyn Nine Nine, and Mike Schur is involved in Master of None as an executive producer. There's plenty of Parks DNA in it, and I think that comes through.

I've never noticed much wrong with Yu's acting. Brian is a fairly inconsequential character anyway.

It's just so stilted. I've seen him in a few things and he always stinks the place out, so it's good to know his character doesn't have much of a part to play. I've only watched the first two episodes so far.

'Last Week Tonight with John Oliver' is fucking great. I've never been a big fan of his stuff in the past, but the format of that seems to work perfectly for him.

I know I'm a bit late to the party on it, but it's so good it sort of renders Jon Stewart's announcement that he's off to HBO too sort of pointless.

I watched the first episode of The Leftovers the other night and I have no idea what to make of it. I want to say I'm intrigued, but I think that's because I've read very positive things from people on here. I'll power through but I'm very unsure about any of it at the moment.

Also watched the first episode of Game of Thrones today. Fantasy/medieval things are traditionally not up my street at all, but this has been hyped up so much (particularly by my brother) that I can't neglect it anymore. Getting to see Emilia Clarke naked from the get go was a nice surprise, so it's off to a solid start.

The Leftovers is seriously bleak, but incredibly powerful. Game of Thrones is just a great deal of fun.

I didn't even hate The Leftovers I just thought it was a yawn, and yet it's one of those where I see enough opinions to the contrary to have me wondering if I should give it another go.

It tried to salvage it with some big drama towards the end, but I think series five of the West Wing is definitely the weakest I've seen so far.

Not that that is a big criticism, as it's still great, but it felt a bit trundling and directionless at times.

I'm in this boat, the only person who really intrigued me was the guy that sounded like he was John Fashanu.

Since it would appear that only the chosen few are allowed to start entirely new conversations (you have a The Walking Dead thread, I see no reason why shows cannot have their own separate conversation).

    a.k.a Jessica Jones

Been waiting a good while for this, two episodes in and it appears to be following a nice similar pace as Daredevil.

Good structure so far, and all in all living up to the tone presented in the comics.

Episode two definitely confirmed the level of darkness necessary to emulate a few of the comics.

Anyone else looking forwards to this over the weekend?

Oh Christ, yet another person pretending they're being persecuted.

TWD is on its fifth or sixth season and had years in this very thread before it was taken out once it was clear that every episode would have a good 10-12 posts of Spoiler tags per week.
