Us and the Russians both wanted all the data from 731 (which turned out to be useless), most of the 'doctors' ended up in the US or simply went home to Japan and carried on practicing.

That's all of Chernobyl watched. I've heard all the stories before but the Soviet politicking was right up my John Le Carre alley.

Chernobyl was fucking excellent, then. I really didn’t expect that much, being quite familiar with the scientists vs state storyline and the events leading up to it, but the execution of the story was top notch. At least Sky Atlantic has given me one thing this year.

Good Omens was disappointing. It’s decent enough, but far too short for my liking and much of the humour didn’t translate. The characters simply didn’t seem well drawn out enough for me. I’d also have liked it to have retained its 80s/90s setting rather than them having to swap out period pieces. Still, I’d recommend for those not familiar with the book.

Lol at the government giving them four hundred grand. That would probably just about cover the catering bill for the Sky/HBO effort.

Michael Schur has announced that the fourth season of The Good Place will be the last, and that they're going out on their own terms telling the full story they mapped out at the beginning of writing season two. Disappointed that it's ending, but it's generally good when the creative team are the ones drawing the line rather than the network just binning it on a cliffhanger.

The new Taskmaster season isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be given the cast (first episode aside).

Well binged the whole thing. I can't remember the last time I saw something so harrowing and yet so addictive at the same time. It's one of the best things I've ever watched.

It'll be available for torrenting now. You won't have to wait for a DVD to come out to get a torrent.

They also demanded that I delete the files I had torrented, which I did, but looking back I have no idea how they’d be able to tell what was on my local filesystem. Dicks.

I used my Wi-Fi extender to watch Chernobyl, and it's pretty brilliant (the odd unnecessary thing aside, shite about the 'Bridge of Death' and that). I know a fair bit about it all as well and I still found it riveting.

I think people struggle to get their heads around the lack of deaths caused by Chernobyl and that’s where the Bridge of Death comes in.

They stood and watched it from close ish proximity? They must be dead now then right?
