Did you change up 2nd game into more pressing?
I can't deal with this oppressive pressing as soon as I win the ball, as I regularly win it in my final third and then have 4 players on me, no outlets and clearances seem to hit the pressers all the time. You've also got that thing down where I fend you off, turn away press to pass and you've nicked the ball from between my legs, behind me. Happened vs Ramos and Varane a few times. Most infuriating. Well played - I'd say I only meet a couple of your quality in each weekend at most.

The first game I tried out my 4-1-2-1-2 with wing back flying up. But as with Yev you seemed to score on the first counter attack. I knew that wasn't to be my game when the 1v1 chip with Messi went about 10 yards wide.
After that I copied your 4-3-3(4) and it seemed to do better at penning you in. That was using press on possession loss as opposed to my usual balanced. Once I got a couple of goals up I switched to my normal 4-2-3-1.
3rd game I used my 4-3-3(5) tactic. It was good for absorbing your pressure, even if I rode my luck on a few occasions.
Should have sold Kimpembe the other day. I got greedy.
Fucking hell. On Xbox Kimpembe has gone from 350k to 160k. Whereas Cavani hit 500k today and is now 175k.

My first set of red picks has popped up and I'm looking at 87 Fekir but also 91 VVD in it.
I cant bring myself to pick either one. I want that Fekir but how can I pass up the free 91 card? At the same time, is it not pointless taking VVD as I have his 92 POTM?
That is why we need some type of untradeable tradeable thing. Maybe it only applies to packed cards but it would be good if you could say

I ended up taking Red Virgil.
Fekir is at 90k now and will drop, so if I wanted to try him I could buy him, whereas Virgil is over 500k. It's daft that I can't re-roll him or anything, but it's still an amazing red.
That was the only highlight of the rewards though.
You have to take him in that scenario. If for nothing more than the +4 for SBC.
What about a repeatable SBC where you need to submit a player, and you get another player of equal rating. You submit the 91 VVD, and you could get anyone in between a 91 Sergio Ramos and a 91 Ronaldinho
I've started saving packs again and am up to 37 now, with a load of SBC's still to do.

I'm now relatively well stocked in case of the drop of a sudden expensive SBC. Though Thursdays are usually Flashback SBC days. I expect we'll see someone like Robben or Ribery.
It is getting frustrating now that we're essentially just waiting for a big Icon or SBC to drop, yet they'd rather not give them to us.

The name and style of the promo indicates to me we're looking at flair/skiller type players. So you could see anything from Ronaldinho down to Ben Arfa.
The big Brazil players have all got a new card in concepts but you can't look at them yet.
This could be a very good promo if they do it right.

I've been trying that 4-1-2-1-2 with the full backs playing as wingers and it's beast.
Absolutely smashed Squad Battles this week as a result. On 32k of points with today's games yet to play.
How is squad abttles this FIFA? It was the only game mode I played in 18, but Ive transitioned to online in 19. I still have bad habits from that game mode which is costing me now.

It's ok. I enjoyed it on 18 more, but that's because it was a piece of piss and, as you say, fostered habits as a result that were of no help online.
Main difference is the opposition seems to sit deep 90% of the time and only breaks that habit when the AI is in full on tika-taka mode, which is less fun, but helpful to a degree in that my biggest failure at this game is breaking defences down.
I seem to have come on a lot in the last couple of weeks (it was amazing how much using that pack only team developed my gameplay) and I'm averaging 2,000 points a game now, which means I can get Elite 1 for SB comfortably from only 25 games per week.
Is it me or is that Carnival team mostly absolute arse?
EDIT: For example, Muller would need to hit a mid 90s rating before he'd be useable and they've given us an 89.
Surprisedto see another another neymar CAM but looking at the stats . There is a serious lack of Brazilian attacking options with only Firmino and Coutinhio above 86 rated and they already have FUTMAS cards so giving Neymar another card is the only option.

Neymar - Obviously a great card, but he'll no doubt cost a fortune and given we already have 6 versions of him, did we really need another one?
Dybala - Never got on with any of his cards in FIFA and I wouldn't touch this one.
Immobile - Not a bad card, but hardly brilliant and quite hard to link.
Lloris - Pointless
Mertens - Really like the look of him, but again hard to link.
Icardi - As above
Alderweireld - Decent card.
Muller - Shit.
Bonucci - Just can't see anyone bothering with him.
Ribery - Rendered useless by his stamina. But I suppose that might give his Flashback card a chance of being decent.
Jesus - Great card, bar the 3 star WF and H/H.
Williams - Like the card a lot, but he's probably not good enough.
Pulisic - Pretty good.
Bellerin - Not dreadful, but for me and the way I use full backs his woeful shooting makes him one to avoid.
Distinctly underwhelmed overall.
The gameplay is really struggling with whatever they're doing behind the scenes right now. I've been trying to push 10 games out in the day as I'm out all day tomorrow. I sit 6-4.
More annoying to me is I've been 2 goals clear in all games bar one. My defence, particularly Robertson and Lala are causing me issues. Neither are really strong enough or fast enough today.
I'm not playing great as I've felt forced into playing. I prefer late night games. I'll have to push more out later tonight too. Hoping to see some good objectives or SBCs hit later.

By the sounds of it we're getting a country per day represented in SBCs. If that's the case they've given us fucking Socrates for Brazil and missed the point again.

Not really sure what to make of those objectives and SBC's.
Don't necessarily think they're too bad, but it wasn't necessarily what I was looking for and winning that many games with silver players is a right arse.
Kroos has dropped to 47k as well, so people must be shunning that Socrates SBC hard.

That he's 5* WF and 4* Skills, 95 Stamina and 86 strength, whilst being 6"3. Makes him pretty perfect for this meta. 1.9m though.
I'm going to get his loan and see how he does as my CDM. It's only 14k to do as well.
Doing the same, but may try him both at striker - looks a grand as a mobile target man with a hawk, and as CAM.
8-0 so far this weekend.
Managed to do that loan with untradeable club items, which has allowed me to link him to Neymar, who comes back in for Sterling. I lose the absurd pace in behind, but gain better dribbling, finishing and WF.
Only 10 games sucks, but I'll give him a go.
Scored two and grabbed an assist for me in the one game I used him. He's good, and has a better pace rating than Suarez but his acceleration with a hunter (Suarez has 99 with his catalyst) is noticeably worse. Seems more of a striker for me, which is difficult to sign up to when Cavani is banging them in at a 1 per game ratio.
See that's my worry with him. He looks like he deserves to be a CAM. However I've been playing Messi exclusively at CAM and in 29 games there he has 39 goals and 15 assists.
Still that's what the loan is for.
The things you can do with Messi are obscene Fox, so I'd keep him there if I were you.
Got Weah and the Silver pack for the Mexican league objective and now up to 50 packs stored.
Messi isn't going until I need to sell him to afford more parts of a worthy Icon.
Also just hopping on now I've figured out my controller is broken. Left trigger isn't working properly. Now luckily I was already going tomorrow to pick up an Elite controller, so it doesn't matter too much. But it could explain my earlier troubles.
What's the skill move where you exit a bit of fancy footwork with a burst of pace? I do it by accident with Mbappe when I'm waggling the right analogue stick now and again so it might be 5 star one.
