What's the point of wearing braces with a waistcoat anyway? No one will see them.
Got a few items this weekend. Particularly enjoying the corduroy shirt. Also, the t shirt was from a small shop on Big Cartel, I ordered three as two were for my cousins birthdays, and they were in the sale, so I was quite happy to then get a note with the delivery saying enjoying the freebie and an extra T thrown in .
Pizza Time?
I hope your cousins are eleven.
That's mine
I thought it was a good streetwear illustration, plus whilst I can't say I've ever seen Adventure Time, it's pretty popular with the mid twenties lasses I've in the past year, so I didn't think it was an exclusively 'kids' thing?
Theirs are -
For a 17 year old who loves raglans-
For a 12 year old who drums in a band that know him as either 'animal' (original) or the monkey -
So you bought a t-shirt with an image from a TV programme you've never seen printed on it?
You are the worst.
Lyle&Scott have a 60% sale on.
I would be tempted because I'm a scumbag and have absolutely no taste but I got 2 polo shirts for Christmas and they are no better than my Hollister/Matalan ones and they're total shit.
I got new glasses a while ago too. They're pretty swish.
They look a little Kloppesque.
Nice, Spoon. Like them a lot.
Where do people buy glasses from on here? I was looking at Specsavers and something called Ace & Tate (https://www.aceandtate.co.uk) who seem a bit 'Warby Parker'.
Sophisticated Spoon.
I have my contacts and glasses from Specsavers, pretty decent firm. Monthly payments and a new package of contacts every 6 month send to your home.
ASDA have the best opticians.
I'm a twit
New Eric Koston shoes -
Want. A lot.
Lol. A lot.
Why've they got built-in socks, like Dougal's mittens?
I'm a twit
Look ace to me. Like wearing a sock it seems, taking inspiration from a variety of Nike sports shoes (you can see the American football cleats influence and that of football boots).
Very much a technical shoe, should be lovely to wear.
And yet also on trend (as far as skate/street wear goes) with the mono design.
A 'technical shoe'?
I'd quite like some nice trainers now the weather will hopefully start getting a bit better. Gimme some recommendations, folks. I haven't bought trainers in years.
Imagine having to explain to a potential mate that you look like an absolute cunt but it's ok because you have technical shoes. Though I feel that would be someway down the list of things wrong with Merse's appearance.
Why the boot all tight around your ankle like that?
Unless you're wearing a Bruce Lee tracksuit those Feiyue things are unacceptable. They look like a slightly more vibrant version of the shitty black shoes you'd get for about two quid to wear to PE.
Pre-empt it all the way. Come off a board when introducing them to your peers for the first time (try not to actually skate too much, they might scuff).
'Fuck me, it's gnarly in these cleats man - I can feel my toes kicking those flips like I'm wearing just my whiteys, dude'
Queue respect.
Yeah, someone else recommend me something.
I feel uncomfortable now.
You've really embarrassed yourself there John.
What I've done is think back to the last person I remember speaking in such an obviously ridiculous way and named his favourite band of the time. That the band was shit and the year was 2000 is sort of the point.
If I heard someone of your vintage saying 'Fuck me, it's gnarly in these cleats man - I can feel my toes kicking those flips like I'm wearing just my whiteys, dude.' I'd Big Sam them out of the country.
In a really strong Brummie accent. Weird.
'The invites said urban metal culture. Not fucking skate culture.'
'.....'
'No wonder mum killed herself.'
Don't try and wriggle out of this John, infraction towards yourself for cultural insensitivity surely?
I mean, my mum was a punk and liked roller disco, so I'm like definitely intrinsically linked to the sub culture in such a way as to be able to equate it to ethnicity.
It doesn't actually matter that I've skated twice in my life and been shit at it both times.
Merse keeping up the comedy gold in this thread...
Boyd - Nike Roshe Run are my current thing. Got a couple of pairs and they're boss. Vans/Superga/Adidas Stan Smiths are always good shouts.
If you fancy spending a fortune Android trainers are great. The ones I have, posted earlier in the thread, are the most comfortable trainers I've ever worn.
Hang on didn't John spend £220 on a pair of gold trainers that would have made Kanye blush?
No, I spent that on a pair of white trainers. You've looked at them with f.lux on and forgot to compensate, haven't you?
I thought my PC had a virus and was adjusting online prices by two to the power of ten of their actual worth.
