Blue would be my preferred option, but the "Default Style" we have now is quite good.
I think either are fine, as long as the body of the forum is narrower than the one we have now in the default skin.
Grey, though not much needs to be done. It's just darkening the body of the posts a bit. There's too much white.
So long as we have the option to keep the current metro one then it's all good. That top grey one is hideous.
Fairly amusing if we end up with the grey one, which was vBulletin default circa 2002.
I used blue on TD, it looksl/looked a lot better than the grey one.
Blue is better but I'm actually sort of used to this one now.

I think that default one on here that people are talking about looks kinda horrible but the biggest problem with it is the lack of fixed width. I don't want it stretching across the whole screen.

Yeah I'm not going to change Metro in case people want to keep using it. I'll add new options for those that want to change.

Blue is nicer. The Metro one on here is decent (and has the smaller width layout) but the white is overbearing.
If you're getting fancy, a dark theme would be lovely.
The blue option would get my vote.

How narrow is the Metro theme?

I do. Heard some raving about Metro though. They've outed themselves as wankers.

You'd have to have a colossal monitor to find Metro unsettlingly narrow. I use Fluid because I like it filling the screen, but the margins on the standard one hardly seem excessive on my screen.
I have two colossal monitors.
I'm used to this new white/blue one now, probably won't go back
Just make a skin per poster, based on preferences stated in this thread. Get on it.
My monitor's 24" and I use the Metro (narrow) one. I don't have my Chrome window maximised though (it's far too big if I do). But even still, with Chrome windowed and the full width Metro one on, it's far too wide. The eye just doesn't read across a screen very well, it's much more suited to reading down.
Blue is better but I don't mind the current one at all.

Default is basically the old shitely blue skin. Do the grey one. It's the classic.

For those complaining that the width is an issue, change from Metro Fluid to Metro, it's the same skin but narrower.
The old guard rocking up to see grey over the line.
I prefer the blue one, but that's because I can be a creature of habit.
I like the current Metro one enough not to care of the new one is shit, but have to laugh at claims the grey one is actually better looking and not just comfortably familiar.
This default style is quite nice. If you could somehow get the grey one to coincide with that skin it would be nice.

It's nothing to do with "coping" - as I say I'm happy with current skin and therefore not voting because this doesn't affect me. It's just telling that only the longer standing members prefer the grey one.
I didn't even know there was anything other than the grey.
What we really want to do is take it back to the early-2000s styling.
I wouldn't say I'm a long standing member, I joined in 2007 and I always used the grey style.
I would appreciate the grey one for us original members.
The default skin on the new board is close enough to the old blue skin.
Blue for me from the old board, however I'm fairly happy using Metro.
