Yeah 2010 was mediocre. This one is more frustrating than boring, good teams constantly just fucking up their approach play or scuffing shots.

Just tuning in. Good to see team are wearing their proper colours. Too many times this tournament ive saw a team where their away colours which is the same colour as their opponents, usual home colours. It causes me an embarassing amount of confusion.

That 'Wish' app must be making an obscene amount of money for something that seemingly only sells things for under a tenner. They have about fifteen high profile footballers involved in their adverts and they've had one at half time and either side of every game ITV have showed so far.

They get a lot of people coming from YouTube too. A lot of the most watched people will review their products with a good million or more views per video.

I got a wireless mouse and a laptop bag off it for absolute buttons and they've been bang on. Ordered in January and got them in April though.

    It's basically AliExpress or Joom.

Peru are lovely tee to green but their final ball is fucking dreadful.

I will LOVE IT when this French team gets knocked out. LOVE IT.

All (well, a good many of) the bigger teams getting lucky goals and then shutting the game down has made most matches a bit shit. Really need the luck to go the other way, or an underdog to manage a goal at some point.

I fear Peru and their fans think Guerrero is a lot better than he actually is.

Only one of those has taken the lead in a game, but yeah, go literal.

I think I'm only not really appreciating the potential dreadfulness of the tournament as I'm not watching every game intently and/or I'm old and really don't care all that much.

Is the bursting ball veering into Jabulani territory yet?

France have been properly cynical in this half. Running the clock down from the word go. Giroud was holding it in the corner on 73 minutes.

Can't wait for Messi to cunt four past them in the 16s.

They won though. I'd run it down from 10 minutes in if it meant a win.

The Peru manager looks like an absolute bin man.

France really are boring, yet they could easily shit their way to a final here.

I get the feeling that they'll do better playing on the counter against proper teams.

When a team utilizes the strengths of Giroud, he really is effective in a sort of rubbish way.

He's the joint fourth highest goalscorer for France at the moment, level with Zidane, and will almost certainly be the clear third before long.

He can look a bit clumsy at times but he's a genuinely good player, not some lanky whopper who shines when it suits him.

From what I've seen of Denmark, they are shit enough that they will lose even with France playing for the draw.

A good target man is still a very effective tactic. His one touch vision and passing is key to his succses really.

Honestly, Peru is one more team that actually played good football but lacked in terms of finishing. The lack of quality strikers is apparent in so many teams.

Guerrero looked offside for that Peru goal in the build-up.

This France side look so uninspired and the two fucking defensive mids throughout this shit group. They're going to win the tournament aren't they.

Australia have been miles better, but our finishing and first touch in the box have let us down. Rogic has been fantastic, and almost scored a blinder. Leckie needs to practice hitting targets - he's great at running and crossing, but useless in front of the goal itself.

Peru very lucky to get a goal that was probably offside in the buildup, which sucks.

Mind you, none of it matters, because Denmark-France is the most nailed on 0-0 ever.

    That's that.

Australia wouldn't score (without a penalty) if this game lasted 3 months.

Denmark should really have a bang here. Free hit to win the group. And more importantly open the game and save the no 0-0s.

I was about to say unless this twat brings on Cahill at last.

Too little far too late though surely. Should have been involved in both the other games.
