He's an African player at a World Cup so, of course, he is in dispute with his FA in some capacity - I saw a story about image rights and being used as a political pawn in Chechnya.
He was definitely the latter, although that's also his own fault for being thick as shit.
As I said before there's just far too much adulation around him. I even heard a 5 Live documentary painting him as some sort of Mandela figure for the Arab world, which made me want to vomit.
