I can see him and Alves getting cut.

Helwani is the best interviewer/journalist going today.
I have a lovely Aceplayer link for this if anyone else is watching.
Tate calling it a day is a bit of a surprise.
Absolutely stunning. Get the lines out
McGregor made Alvarez look a bit silly at times in that fight.
I've said it before, but there's a whiff of Anderson Silva in the confidence McGregor shows when he's in full flow.
McGregor wanting equity in the UFC... Then buy some shares, knobhead. People aren't just going to give you shares in a company just because you are fighting for them.
As entertaining as he is (as a fighter and "product"), the UFC will survive without him, and he doesn't come across well demanding that the UFC give him shit for free or he leaves.
Finally watched it, such a lovely knockout to win it.
He looked absolutely stunning.
Romero KO was brilliant too.

Pretty crazy.
Daniel Cormier has picked up an injury so he's out of 206.
As such the UFC seem to really be pushing to make Pettis vs Holloway for the Interim Featherweight title at 206. That would mean that Conor is stripped with Aldo bneing promoted to full Champion.
AKA have been an absolute fkn shambles with injuries. All three of their main guys now pulled out this year. Happy for Max Halloway but Aldo becoming champ is annoying.
Far too many interim belts.
When is 206?
Might download it and get into watching this stuff. Looks fun.
December 9th I think. They should probably change it to a Fight Night card as there isn't much going for it.
http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2016/12/3...legacy-fc-show
Legacy fighter weighs in 50 pounds overweight and gets knocked out, lol.
Cub Swanson vs Doo Ho Choi.
Absolute mayhem.
Cerrone vs Matt Brown is also fucking quality.
That barrage in round 3 I think it was, where Swanson smashed him with about six big shots in a row and five seconds later Choi looked like he'd barely been touched. Guy's legit.
It was like Sanchez v Melendez at times, only more technical.
Barring a brutal knockout win I don't think Choi's stock could have risen much more with a win than it has anyway. There must be something in the Korean constitution that makes them impervious to damage. The Korean fighters who spring immediately to mind, Choi, Zombie, and Soehee Ham, are all fucking wild and basically impossible to stop. Chan Sung Jung needed to dislocate his shoulder then be kicked in said shoulder about six times by one of the most vicious kickers in the sport before he gave up, for fuck sake.
Speaking of Zombie, his return from national service is confirmed for February, against Dennis Bermudez. That should be good.
Yeah, that PPV ended up being pretty great. Two sensational knockouts.
Holloway is so good.
They nailed eachother with about five or six crackers a piece early in round two as well and both just carried on. It's the sort of fight you'd show to someone who doesn't watch MMA if you wanted them to see what it can be.
One of the best PPV's of the year for me. Swanson vs Choi was just a savage encounter. Loved Cerrone's ko win as well. Holloway is well on his way to becoming a big name in his own right. Emil Meek looked the part as well.
Khabib vs Tony Ferguson for an interim Lightweight belt, apparently.
Conor McGregor has never actually defended a belt. Not fought and lost, he's just never actually stepped into a ring to defend his belt. What a travesty that such a complete fucking flump gets to claim a first.
But he's got personality! That's all that matters!
It's a testament to how good he his at pulling Dana's pants down, he puts so many bums on seats that he can basically do whatever he wants. And if what he wants to do is (for want of a better term) build a 'brand' then the sporting obligations are the first thing to ignore.
The sooner he fucks off to WWE the better. He's a dynamite fighter but there's too much fucking about and he seems almost constitutionally unable to risk losing a belt by conventional means. Much better just to fuck off and then shout about still being the champ when it's inevitably taken off you.
I'm a twit
http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2016/12/2...n-ufc-mma-news
Imagine if he becomes a two weight champion without actually beating the champion (Conor) in either division.
It's bonkers.
I like the old maxim 'you're not the champion until you've defended your title' when it comes to combat sports, so I'd love that. He should definitely be made to fight Holloway before any other plans are made, but if what he's said there is true they've obviously decided he's the man McGregor should fight after he's done being a househusband and they need to get a wiggle on to set that up.
Aldo fighting McGregor at 155
Hoping Ronda Rousey is taken apart ala Holly Holm. Cruz should be able to dance his way to victory once again.
Is it a good card? Will no doubt have it on in the background.
I'm a twit
It's tomorrow not Saturday. On paper the card is pretty good but we'll see. A few predicable fights.
Hendricks missed weight again lol
Cody on points is the last thing I'd have predicted. Fuck sake. Mon le Nunes
200k to the champ is so fucked.
.....
Rousey was obviously trying to prove Holm was a fluke and that she could mix it with a striker.
Cody Garbrandt looked dynamite.
I haven't watched it yet but lol at Ronda.
It was pretty clear she was going to lose after the Holm KO and then the whole bullshit circus following it.
The fact that the UFC were coddling her too is a disgrace.
To be fair, she did think about offing herself after her last defeat.
Cody Garbrandt really was incredible there against the best 135lb ever. Incredible stuff.
They've sacked Goldberg (awesome) and replaced him with Todd Grisham who is a former WWE comentator.
This is on his Wiki page:
Wrestling Observer Newsletter awards
Worst Television Announcer - 2004 and 2006
I always hated him.
Fuck sake. He always fucked up but him and Rogan were just so good together.
Khabib vs Tony Ferguson for an interim lightweight belt confirmed for UFC 209, the same card as the Woodley vs Thomson rematch.
That should be a stonking show, with Mark Hunt punching Overeem's chin up into the arena lights serving as a lovely third banana.
'Best known for fighting Fedor Emelianenko'.
Nope. Many, many more people will have seen him when he was in EliteXC, in the first fight on the first ever card to go on a big American network.
He did smash Fedor up for a round though, which with hindsight was obviously because Fedor was fading a bit rather than that he was going to be a superstar, but ten knockout wins on the bounce will get the hype train moving. I think it was the fight immediately preceding Fedor getting strangled to death and his arm pulled off by Werdum.
