Ah RIP.

Another first timer for Aaron Chalmers tonight. A thirty six year old lorry driver. It's nice that they're stepping up the level of opposition.
Lawler is basically finished. He obviously doesn't have the confidence in his chin to fight the way he used to, and his bonkers pressure coupled with a willingness to take a punch to give one is what made him.
Ponzinibbio vs Perry was terrific fun. Perry needs to somehow fight at every event.

Stipe and DC will coach TUF 27 (with undefeated light and featherweights) and then fight for Stipe's heavyweight title at UFC 226. Also a chance that they have DJ fight Dillashaw and Nunes fight Cyborg on the same card.
No chance they do three champion vs champion fights on the same card. It's a big enough hassle having one division tied up if DC manages to win, they'd be fucking bonkers to risk having six belts wind up in the hands of three fighters on the same night.
They might risk it for a historic number, if the divisions had been as they are now for 200 for example, it might have happened, but it will not happen.
Alvarez vs Diaz is a realistic co main for that event.
There are rumours that it will be DC's last fight.
So I've heard, but even then if he wins they suddenly have two vacant belts. Add that to two divisions being put on hold at a time and the whole picture is an utter shambles.
They won't do it.
I saw this pop up on Facebook. How can a light heavyweight fight a much bigger and not shit heavyweight without getting ragdolled?
Cormier was undefeated at heavyweight for years before cutting down to light heavy. He's beaten a few former champions.
Were any of them as good as this bloke?
No, but none of them even got near him. He's little but his wrestling is on a different level to everyone, including Miocic.
Interesting. I might watch that if it happens. Unless he somehow packs three stone on by then ('It's just a lot of eating and...') in which case probably not.
He cuts to 205, so he'll just bin the cut and do a bit of powerlifting in camp. He'll weigh in about 230. Miocic will be about 250.
Tony Ferguson has fallen over and hurt himself so he's pulled out of the Khabib fight. Max Holloway has stepped in.
Four times in a row it’s been called off. Fair fucks to Max but Khabib is fucking huge compared to him. Seven days notice too.
Holloway will be ready. He said back in January that he'd step in if Ferguson or Khabib fell out, so while I doubt he's been in a full camp this whole time he certainly won't have been on holiday for three months either.
Not that it'll matter. Khabib ought to flatten him.
Khabib has said from day dot that Ferguson ain’t show, so I imagine Holloway will be more prepared then he ought to be on such short notice.
I reckon even if McGregor would have offered to step in, Dana White wouldn’t allow it cos they’d miss out on millions of dollars through lack of promotion.

Khabib can’t say much, he’s pulled out twice already and is the most notorious for it.
McGregor turned up in NY and has decided to go on a coke bender it seems. Picked up a guard rail and tried to smash it into Khabib’s coach.
Apparently it’s to do with Artem Lobov being cornered or something.
Conor has turned up to the UFC 223 media day and caused drama.
McGregor is a fucking clown. The only fighter in UFC history to be stripped of two different belts, for a total of four belts in his career that he's given up without a single defence.
Chisea has ended up with a cut on his face and a warrant has been issued for Conor's arrest.
Apparently Artem is off the card too.
If the UFC still had the star power of Jon Jones and Ronda Rousey I reckon they'd just cut ties with him. As it is they'll put up with him.
Dana White has said he's done, apparently. I wonder how long it'll take him to go back on that.
The Rose vs Joanna fight is apparently in jeopardy due this evenings events (according to Ariel Helwani).
He has been discussing the drama on his chat show - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aavAcDpbjkM

Dana White discussing the drama.
Fucking hell, what a mongo.
Can someone link to a piece of actual writing on what's happened? I don't want to listen to a combined 40 minutes of Cokeheads/Failsons/Rogans/etc. talking to work it out.
Google it and you'll find about ten pieces of actual writing.
Surely there's a video of it out now.
First result.

Not a bad rundown of what's believed to have happened at this point.
The videos were out before the story was, Fox. But it's all shaky nonsense as you'd expect from the middle of a fight in which bike racks are being thrown at buses. No doubt some low man security guard will sell the security footage and set himself up for life over the next few days.

You see Conor throw something and break the coach window.
Lobov will almost certainly be cut off the back of this, by the way. He's barely a prelim standard fighter and would have been out the door if Caceres had beat him anyway. Could easily be the end of his career, because who's going to want a div with a losing record and this sort of shit in his locker?
Bellator will take him. They took Charlie Ward (another fighter who got into the UFC due to being a training partner / friend of Conor).
Lobov is shit, he's completely one dimensional.
He's got decent power but nothing else, his boxing technique isn't even good.
His power isn't even that great. He's finished very few fights with strikes.
Yep. It's massively overrated.
His relationship with Conor is really weird. It's a bit like him getting a 'mate' that's pretty much like a puppy. Classic popular kid at school technique from McGregor.
Three fights cancelled. Fighters will sue him for facial disfigurement, loss of earnings and fuck knows what else. UFC will sue him for loss of earnings.
He'll do time and could be banned from the US after that. He'll also get a fight ban.
That'll probably eat up a lot of his money and he won't get to fight for a long time to make any back.
He dun goofed, big time. Scumbag.
I applaud conor for this type of entertainment. Its like a much more entertaining WWF backstage chaos
This has developed into a real shambles.
Pettis was given two hours to get two ounces off his weight and get in for a title fight, but chose not to weigh in again, meaning a third main event went in the bin. Then Paul Felder, who'd already weighed in on target, offered to step in but the commission wouldn't sanction it because he's currently unranked. So it looks like either back to Pettis but the fight becomes a non title three rounder, or Al Iaquinta holds them to ransom.
Al Iaquinta would be decent enough. Would have the entire crowd on side for sure.
Iaquinta gets the fight, but because he'd already weighed in at 155.2 for his original fight and had it verified they wouldn't let him try again to make the 155. As a result, only Khabib can win the belt.
This whole event is an utter shambles.
He has his boxers on, too. Bit of a joke really but whatever. Al Iaquinta winning would top this week.
In before McGregor turns up tomorrow. (Not sure he can though, he’s got a restraining order on about five people hahahahaha)
McGregor will wind up at WWE within a year.
I really like Darren Till but I can’t see him winning at all after having to weigh in again this morning. Surely that’s not even remotely safe to be draining your body up until hours before the fight? The fact he offered to give Thompson all his purse just shows how embarrassed he is about it.
Just got to hope he catches him early.
