We've installed an anti-spambot system to prevent death by Cloudflare but I haven't worked out the kinks yet.

It seemed to happen to one post of mine then not to a couple more I posted not long after. Did you fix it? The original post it happened to seems to be gone now.

All the email stuff is there. Avatars and signatures off was the first thing I did and spotted it at the same time.
Which setting did you disable to stop it mailing you? Then i'll set that to default in user settings.

I just disabled any emails from admins or anybody else, which definitely seems to be doing the trick. I've been quoted a few times now and had no emails to my inbox or spam.

I've turned off email from administrators being on by default for new users but can't change it for people already signed up. You'll have to go into settings and turn it off.
