RetroPie (Raspberry Pie + Retro Gaming)
So, I bought a Raspberry Pi after reading this and struggling with an old temperamental SNES (my partner's).

It's a graphical front-end for the Raspbian OS and has pretty much any console you can think of (even PS1 and 2). Great way to play all the games I never had as a child.
EDIT: I just realised my MacBook autocorrected "Pi" to "Pie". Fail.

I use it and it's great. Im currently getting materials together to build an arcade cabinet to house it.

The arcade cabinets I've seen have been amazing.

It was very exciting to play A Link To The Past in HD. Those colours!

I've tried a few controllers, this one the only one to get if you're after one (you really should), some proper duds out there - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Buffalo-Clas...s=buffalo+snes

I'd got a pair minus the turbo/clear buttons, which would have come in handy for mapping a save state button.
