Yesterday I was up early to watch some of the cricket. The wife and I then went Kayaking and relaxed at the house with a few beers.

Up early today for a game at 9 followed by sticking a roast in the crock pot for french dip and doing some house cleaning while watching more of the cricket.

    Quiet but decent weekend.

Going to some house party thing tonight. My mate got back from London this weekend to go, and I asked her if I could tag along. Her mate's dad has organised a big party in their big country house and attached land, and my other mate's band has been booked to play. I'm not really sure what the fuck I'm going to. The fact My mate's mate's DAD is the one organising it makes me think it might be a bit sedate and weird, but I'm bringing my erratic mate and a small bag of shit MD just in case. x

Old episodes. There's no way MTV would air it these days. Not enough flirting. Even in Hugh Heffner's episode.

Had a brilliant weekend in the Welsh countryside for a mate's stag. Went gorge walking, paddle boarding and we had a raft building competition. Fucking sore now and covered in bruises and scrapes. And I got stung by a cunting wasp. A definite low point of the weekend.

Fuck off, it's about an hour in the car @ 80mph so according to my engineering degree humans only walk at 5mph MAX so even doing that speed it would take 14 hours non-stop.

Set off at 9am and got home at 11pm. That includes a stop in the pub for a roast and stopping to get a pizza from a take away. Manchester to my house is 39 miles exactly.

It only took me 14 hours and I saved £4.20. It makes you think, doesn't it? It just goes to show that there are other options!

It would be if you had it. You'd probably spend it on here.

Legs are aching a lot now, obviously. Gonna take it easy today and binge watch some TV shows or something.

Longest I've done was just over 8 hours. That was setting off from Brighton to Cornwall, but giving up at Bognor Regis because it got too cold. Then we decided to get the train to Southampton instead of Brighton and we ended up going out but having to sit in the park for a few hours until the first train back at 6am.

I'll walk for an hour or two and consider it a decent effort. People that walk 13 hours straight are firmly in dodgy territory. Sure, you saved £4.20 but you could've spent so much more time doing shit in Manchester.

Imagine living a life where walking 40 miles as opposed to spending the 5 quid seems like a proper use of your off time.

He obviously found value in the experience.

Also, Offy when you say Brighton to Cornwall do mean Cornwall the county and Brighton the town in E.Sussex? Because that's about 250 miles.

Yeah, according to google maps, walking that would take 83 hours. Were you going to camp along the way or what?

Reach for the stars, innit. We had a week off, nice weather and money. I didn't expect us to get to Cornwall, but that was the direction we were heading. Next time.

Google maps estimates are for slow walkers, so it'd probably be a leisurely 60 hours.

I'd say five days at 12 hours per day us more realistic. No way could I do what I've just done for another three days in a row.

Saved £4.20, but probably wore off more of your shoe sole meaning you'll need to fork out for new shoes sooner. Shoudda just spent the 4.20.
