This happened to me on a much smaller scale when I was about 18. I was pretty skint at the time but got around £1k put into my account. I didn't question it and just bought a ticket to, I think, Reading. Then somebody got in touch with me and asked wtf I was doing, so I played dumb and they just put my account into arrears. Luckily, I knew I'd get away with it as I worked at the bank.

I'd be trying to shift that into a dodgy account and fucking off for a few years. I doubt they can even do you for it until it's too late.
Even if they did catch up with you how much time would you actually do? That woman who spent forty grand accidentally put into her account got a suspended sentence and a tiny fine. Let's say you stuck it in another account, pissed it up the wall over a few years on a round the world beano, and then came home to face the music - how much time would you be willing to do in return?
If you lived in some shit hole with fuck all then maybe do it and go on the run, but when you’re on the pigs back in Switzerland you probably want to stay where you are.

He wasn't exactly skint to start with. I'd have done the same, though. That £500k would've come from somewhere and you'd have to be very dumb to not miss it.
That said, If there's anyone that would miss it there's a strong possibility that they have a Swiss Bank Account.
