Do any of you use SMBC instead of Kodi? They look identical but I've seen people saying SMBC runs smoother.

Haven't tried it myself as I'm almost loyal to XBMC/Kodi now after using for so many years and not having any issues.
A lot of people either say it's (SPMC) either more or less the same, or slightly better, so worth a look if you're interested, I just can't be bothered because I'm happy with what I've got.
@Adamski did you ever get downloading working on Exodus? I did all that I seemed to need to do from two different identical guides but I don't have the download option from a long press (right click) on an episode.
You need to click through into select a stream and long click on there
I was a menu too early.
Exodus was doing my head in yesterday. I'm upto episode 5 of Wayward Pines but it kept playing episode 1. Happened the other night as well, and I ended up just going to bed instead. Anyone had that before? How do you fix it?
I ended up quitting Kodi and watching an episode on Popcorn Time and then when I tried on Kodi again afterwards it was fine.

The guides show it that way too. The ones I've seen anyway.
I had the same thing as you and Baz with the Man in the High Castle. First stream was nearly always S01E01 for every episode but I could just get another. Might make downloading a pain though as I'll have to check each episode before I do.
Ah right so if I persevere with it and work my way down the list of streams, eventually one of them will be the right episode? Like I don't need to back out of it, or search again?

No should be fine to move down.
Was trying to set it up on the Mrs tablet for downloads too but she can't actually access any downloads. I set up a Kodi TV and Kodi Movies folders on her SD card and a show looks like it's downloading but it never appears in the folder. She also doesn't have the download section on the exodus front page. I suspect it may be because it's the SD (mine is straight to internal storage) but still weird.
It just downloads into Exodus rather than into any folder for me on tablet but mines has the download section and isn't SD either.
It was that. Writes to internal storage fine.
Weird. You can get Kodi on a computer as well and it downloads fine there.
My WDTV player is fucked.
It still works as a streamer but can't plug anything in to it's USB ports otherwise it reboots and gets stuck in a loop. I'm going to get my old NAS back off my dad and try it out as a streaming device.
So anyone recommend a NAS? I've got one but it's only got a 100mb port and that is utter shite for transferring files from my laptop.
EDIT: It doesn't even have to be a NAS, just some sort of intermediary that handles file sharing.
I used a Western Digital My Book or something like that back in the dark ages.
I was a fool, it is a gigabit port. Got it all sussed now. WDTV streams from my USB hard drive plugged in to the NAS. At some point I'll transfer it to the NAS disk but at the moment it's more convenient on the usb one. I can transfer from my lappy now (Windows 10 was blocking LAN file sharing even though the FW was disabled). Getting about 30mbps which is as good as it can get really.
I can also stream to my Chromecast using Localcast on my phone with an smb share. This is dece (but still lol @ web streaming).
That reads like a foreign language to me. I thought NAS was a rapper.
Go back to wanking over shit pretentious beers.
What you've said above does sound convenient to be fair.
Well before it was USB HDD plugged directly in to WDTV box. I'd have to remove it and connect it to my laptop to transfer downloaded media on to, then plug it back in.
Also upstairs I had to bring the hard drive, plug my laptop in to the TV via HDMI then use the USB drive to play the files.
At least now I can transfer without plugging anything in, and the big one is the Chromecast upstairs instead of my laptop and HDMI cables. Before I was just using it for iPlayer and youTube. This is big.
Read what?
Yeah I copied it from that /r/confessions subreddit.
Anyone got the new Virgin V6 box? I'm tempted but I'll need to wait until my contract is up in June before I get it for absolutely nothing.
Stop using the wrong thread for your shite.
Sportsmania has just closed to any new members. Must be trying to keep the servers from flooding and provide streams at the same level they're at now.
Yeah anyone with an account can still renew.
@Adamski, is Exodus dead?
EDIT: Scratch that. I was getting no streams available but I had to do some url resolver thing.
Lol the Chromecast can't stream MKV. I have to play it via VLC then cast my screen via Google Home. Shite!
It does...just with no audio. Apparently Plex can do 'TRANSCODING ON THE FLY' but fuck Plex basically.
Yeah we found the same thing when playing through USB. Basically, fuck mkv.
Sportsmania gone bye bye?
Their twitter says there's an update on kodi. Maybe it's just that?
I went on tonight, some error popped up that I hadn't time to read, and it wouldn't open. Backed out of Kodi and when I went back in it wasn't there at all. Won't let me install the zip now either.
I haven't been on it for a few days because FA Cup, but the app is working fine for me just now.
I'll get another look at it this evening. If all else fails I'll do a cache clear and uninstall of Kodi and start from scratch.
Kodi 17 is out proper now too so a good time for it to be reinstalled from scratch.
I'm a twit
Is there a Play Store version of the older ones?
There's an app you can use just for Sportsmania. I use it. It's pretty decent.
