Just realised I have 10/16 Russian League SBC teams completed and that Promes, who looks pretty much the same as IF Mbappe, would be at full chem in my side now due to Rijkard and Henry giving a strong and weak link each.
So... Think I'll sell Mbappe and give Promes a go, which also gives me the funds for TOGS Ter Stegen. Worst case, I bring Mbappe back in and Promes is a supersub as I originally planned.

Ive bought a ton of the MOTM will grig card. He cost 14750 for an 81 rated, northern ireland card in league 1. Thing is, you can quick sell him for 14500 so its a complete risk free investment. Hopefully they dont downgrade his quick sell price I dont think he will go up, but if he does im ready for it. Hopefully some MOTM card is required for an SBC moving forward.
The Reddit lot are very confused on the whole. The upgrades work as they always have, some just don't get it and EA's comms don't help.

Did you do the loans for any of them? I did Larsson and I really haven’t enjoyed him that much. He was all over the place due to the HH work-rates. I loved it when he was hounding defenders but he never seemed to be in the right place to score

Been quiet for a while, but still been playing the second team for the last few weeks. This is the current squad:
I was bringing Promes on for Aseri but then realised that Barkley plays very well at RF on 10 chem so latterly have started bringing another mdifielder on and whacking Barkley up there. On the back of that I've just bought his OTW just in case he ever plays for Chelsea - got a clean card for 18k so not bad.
The stats:
Tried to mix up the players from the first attempt, and would only use players I had previously if I packed them, hence Sane and Promes. I think Sane is my favourite player in this version that I've used so far, he's just a complete beast.
On the to do list is picking up a version of Son and Lallana and then doing the value for money SBC's according to that spreadsheet - think there's about 50 odd for a cost of 280k that reward 1m+ coins worth of packs.
Have just over 700k of coins and am on course to hit Elite 1 Squad Battles for the first time on this save, which is nice.
So bending the principle of not paying for packs on this account a bit I've just used a £25 Game gift card my sister got me for Christmas, which allowed me to open 4 Jumbo Premium Packs, 1 Silver Pack and 1 Jumbo Rare Players Pack.
And fuck me, what a haul:

It really is ridiculous. I get almost none when I do SBC's to open packs (and I've done a lot of them on two accounts now), but go within 100 miles of some FIFA points and it rains down.

Finished the week on 80,199 points for squad battles so firmly in Elite 1 for the first time in a while. Yesterday's ludicrous pack luck has sold through, with Modric and Donnarumma going for 50k a piece, Cavani for 40k and 87 Icon Hernandez for 475k.
Took the opportunity to pick up a lot of 83's and 84's, the former of which are particularly cheap at the moment and once the SB rewards land I should have well over 1.3m in the bank.
IF Pukki and Dani Alves from the rewards.
Just fisted Maradona's team 8-0 on Legendary with Kane scoring 4. I think that might be my best result against the featured team on legendary.
Also, I'm not sold on Kluivert at all. 3 games on his loan and despite getting 3 goals and 2 assists there's something not quite right with him. Might be the lowish agility/balance as he feels a bit clumsy.
I think I might end up going with Larsson or Luis Hernandez when his loan runs out.

As for Kluivert, his composure is dreadful as well.

I played against TOTY De Gea last night. He had a total of 16 saves and half of them are usually clear goals. A tactic I use is in the 2nd half, bring on Bellarabi with a Hawk. Still in on Right Wing with stay forward, and float balls over the top to him. The AI defense is usually visible knackered after 80 minutes and they can be explotied. Shooting across the keeper with a right footed player, from the right side of the attacking third usually ends in a goal scored. Not with TOTY De Gea though. Wonder save after wonder save.
I have 36 packs that I cant open as my unassigned pile has about 5 pages of players. Hopefully, we get a la liga sbc this friday as i have lots of players ready to sell.
Ive tried to qualify for the weekend league for the past few weeks and ive yet to qualify.
Just picked up a clean PtG Sane card for 239k, he'd better get an IF.
Also been trying out loan Icon Owen. Unstoppable on Professional difficulty, but gets bullied too much on legendary to be feasible.
That's what I felt might be the case which is a damn shame.
Ive been trialing a few players. I packed a guy called Upamecano who is a really solid card next to boateng. His heading isnt all that great but all his headers are clearences anyway so its not that bad.
Schulz is also quick but not good enough on the ball as an attacking left back. I also packed Meite who isnt in the bundesliga but he plays really well. good. He has all the correct stats for a CDM and if he gets another IF, he will be an pure beast.
Really getting to grips with Al Soma now. Finally put a Hunter on him and it's making all the difference - he's lethal.
