Played a game on World Class and agree with Mahow. It's horrid. Legendary must feel like the players are all in their 90s.
Nothing in the TOTW for me expect maybe Ter Stegen but that’s 100% dependent on playing two German centre backs every game which I can’t do right now anyway. It would only be a 1pt upgrade too.

IF Lozano looks stupidly good. Maestro card on there and you've got vintage Robben.
But with an actual weak foot.
Next upgrades will be IF Fernandinho for Herrera and IF Valencia for Walker when he gets an IF.
Played loads of games of this tonight and I genuinely can't stand what the patch has done to it.
I think I've sort of got the hang of it but the patch is utter turd, I hate it so much.
I have no idea how I managed to squeeze out 4 wins.
Patch is getting pasted on Reddit too (although you have the odd pervert wading in saying it's better), I need a change or I'll be taking a break.
Pre-patch it was enjoyable which is something I've not felt about a FIFA game in a few years, but this feels like hard work and a slog again.
Feel exactly the same, in that I was really enjoying it too and now every match is a right slog, whether I win, lose, or draw.

Just lost a game on pro where I got completely raped. There's no way in hell that was a normal pro game. Is that what the patch have done.
I am beyond shit at this fifa. I've always been pretty average, but I just can't enjoy it this time around. Div 6 online seasons I just get pasted almost every game. Don't know how to defend, don't know how to attack. I think part of the problem is that I have pretty shit reaction times and concentration levels (hence being shit at most video games), but in previous fifas I've been able to do alright playing a more ponderous, slow passing game and carve out my own niche, whereas on this one it feels like the opposition make about 4 simple passes and they're in. Already launched the controller across the room about 4 times, and I'm not a particularly short-tempered person usually.
I'm not even feeling like the game is shit, I just feel like I'm fucking shit and the game has passed me by. Shame, because it always used to be a fun time-waster, and I'm off work for a few days and the thought of having a few games is making my skin crawl.
Do a career mode or something to ease yourself in.
See, for me, this match engine would lend itself to that style even more - slower pace and more physical game.

Anyone tried both IF Mahrez and Mkhitaryan? I love the former but I was wondering if he is actually with the 30K price difference.
Not that 30k really gets me much anywhere else.....
I have a IF Mahrez. His dribbling and speed is amazing. But his strength is poor which means, based on the way i play he is shit. He gets pushed off the ball too easy. I guess the best way to utilize him is being RW with little defensive duties in a counter attacking side.
Had a go on Legendary for the 4 squad battles yesterday and used Legacy defending instead, just sprinting around the pitch then holding A when in range of the opposition and won every game for something close to 10,000 points - Boring as anything, but at least I understand how people are racking up so many points now.
Apparently it's also the case that if you go in with a bronze team the opposition play to a ridiculously low level, which I presume is a manifestation of the handicap/levelling thing EA have always denied.
I think I'm done with this for a while now as it's basically a buggy/unplayable mess.
I have Mkhitaryan and I think he's great.
I've also tried OTW Salah there but I keep going back to Henrikh.
Mkhitaryan has that bit extra strength that I like, more stamina and (over Salah at least) a 5* WF although Mahrez has a 4 which is fine.
I think I’ll bring him in anyway and have a go.
Got Reus and Robben on last night to replace IF Brandt and Scream Pulisic. Cannot wait to use them tonight.
I made a Bundesliga side to dick around with and IF Brandt is comfortably the best player in it. IF Kramaric seems like he'll be ace once I get used to him, but Brandt is just shit hot from minute one.
I only use a bundesliga team in FUT. I have yet to try IF brandt, but the IF 82 Vincenzo Grifo is good. Cheap too. Only cost me about 12k. I cant deal with players who are weak on the ball. They need to be strong.
I liked Brandt but wanted to give Reus a go. Easy pick up should it not work out though.
I pulled IF Grifo but sold him to get my hands on the coin needed for the Reus/Robben upgrade.
Just did the dutch SBC as i prepared well. Didnt pull anything from the packs worth talking about.
Reus is ridiculous. I have won four legendary games this morning and he has 9 goals in the one and 3/4 games he has played,
Ended up winning 11 on the bounce to sit (I think) pretty comfortably in Elite 1.
I think I will push through this week but I will not get anywhere near playing this many games again. Such a grind.

This patch is the worst. Really should have played it before getting into FUT Champs this morning. From 25-10 last weekend to 2-6 this weekend. Feels sluggish as fuck.

It's absolutely terrible and it's basically killed the game for me (a game that I was enjoying a lot beforehand).
Passing definitely needed to be nerfed, as shooting did when the game was first released. But unlike when they nerfed shooting they seem to have messed around with a load of other mechanics too and the game feels horrible as a result. Passing is awful (the amount of balls that dribble towards my static target as the opposition just hoover up are unreal), shooting is much worse than it was and the whole thing feels so sluggish.
As it is I'm going to soldier through and secure Elite 3 on the squad battles for the Monday rewards and then leave it there for a bit I think.
Hopefully they've seen a downturn in the number of packs bought and they'll be reverting it back asap.
Apparently the ultimate glitch thing is to have one weak bronze player in your attack, don't do any through balls or any type of fast build up. Casually get it to the bronze, hold L2 and L1 and the AI wont be aggressive or try to win the ball and casually walk into the box before shooting.
That's apparently it. Although it's still quite tricky at times or so they say.

I just bought 2 James Rodriguez OTW's for 200k a pop.
He was close last week after the only goal in a 1-0 win (he went up to around 230k just after some predictions mentioned him) but 2 assists in a 3-1 win against Dortmund should put him over the line.

How to:
use 1-3 attacking bronze players. Preferably low strength
Play on ultimate
Build up very slowly, making the AI "impatient"
Play the ball to one of your bronzes and shield the ball with them. The AI will commit a foul and usually get a yellow card.
Repeat until the AI has enough red cards for you to easily beat it.

Wonder why/how the bronze players are needed.
Probably to get easier opponents plus the low strength is key seemingly.
Low strength apparently makes them easier to bundle over and then it’s a booking for the challenge from behind.
I'm still staggered that the opponents aren't the same for everyone.
I get the low strength, but you don't need to be bronze to have that, albeit I guess it's easier to find them.
I can't be arsed to try and recreate this myself, but I'd be curious to see a YouTube vid of it in action.
The squads you play against in Squad Battles are actual users' teams, so of course the opponents won't be the same for everyone.
Why would that stop everyone playing against the same team? You just generate 4 each round for everyone and leave it there.
Finish my final 4 games and I should sit in elite 2.
Played one of my games and the middle of the road teams had 91 Ronaldinho and Cristiano in the team. I thought I was in for a bumming but with 60 mins gone both had been subbed
Playing the last few games on pro to secure Elite 3 and it's actually tolerable at that difficulty.
