Whisky and Malibu. Wtf.
Whisky and Malibu. Wtf.
Try it before you doubt it, losers.

Last night I had mulled wine with sloe gin in it. Probably the most sozzled I've ever been after two of anything.
Still better than what Magic is sampling.
I've got a nice, cold glass of water on the go. Might mix it up with some orange juice later.
As in, mix up my general drinking. Not mix the orange juice with water.
J2O and double vodka is the wave.
I got a bottle of innocent tropical in an effort to cure me, but it's fucking vile.
Just get back on the drink if you really want cured.
I got water after reading Ian's post. Haven't touched the stuff in months but it really is good stuff when you're hanging.
You're welcome, @Giggles. o/
Just drank half a bottle of red wine (Aussie Cab Sav) with lunch @ magic.
That Baz drink sounds like something we had at uni which ran one of two ways - either double vodka, double malibu, double archers, orange and black current, or singles of vodka, gin, white rum, tequila, malibu and archers with the same mixers. Dreadful stuff, but you could get pints of it for £2.50 on a Saturday night (jug for a tenner) and it was good night Vienna.
On the subject of odd combinations with Whisky I was recently introduced to a Godfather (double scotch and Amaretto) which sounds awful but is actually quite nice.
Amaretto is great. Under rated drink.
Sickly after a bit though.
I had a long island ice tea with the coke replaced with red wine. Surprisingly very nice. And unsurprisingly deadly.
Long Island Iced Tea doesn't have quite enough booze in it, to be fair, so that's quite a sensible swap.
Meanwhile, I think I'm gonna get another glass of water.
I’ve been knocking back water like an absolute savage all day.
Just had a coffee with baileys in.
The stout/patron cafe combo is a good 'un, although a bit sickly.
I've had enough water.
I’m on the blackcurrant Lemsip.

I've just made a good strong Bovril.
Had some milk earlier and on lemon Robinson's now. Tastes like shit if you don't get the ratio right, but it's glorious when you do. No middle ground.
Decaf tea to go with my white toblerone in Aberdeen.
Wild bachelor right here.
I have it with soda water occasionally and it is genuinely nicer than the real pop equivalent. I don't think that will always have been the case, but I've really gone off pop in the last few years, I'm guessing they've all been fucked with in the same way crisps and chocolate have been.
Today’s advent beer is a solid 4.75 out of 5

What the fuck did you all do on the 16th...?
I've got myself a bottle of tempranillo. Can't remember if I've had it before but this one seems decent.
Had a repeat bottle in my advent calendar Minging sticky toffee pudding ale that I rated 0.75 out of 5 as well.

I have an ice cold can of Carling and it’s glorious
Carling? Have a fucking word.
Yeah Carling is shite. Unless you're at somebody's house and you've had it handed to you there's no excuse for that.
Carling is a great thirst quencher when it's cold.
Any lager needs to be cold, Carling needs to be cold enough to kill the taste at which point I'd genuinely rather not be having an alcoholic drink.
Actually I was thinking of Tennents, but same thing really. The non-chemical beers just don't have the same hit when you're just out of work on a Friday and gagging for a pint.
Carling is better than Fosters & Carlsberg, at least.

I'm having a Tomintoul whisky. Very peaty. Enjoyable.
It’s much better than those beers that taste of chocolate and disappointment.
On the subject of whisky FedEx have decided to deliver the stuff I've ordered to my dad to some random other house, it would seem, and haven't told me where.
Master of Malt are quality though and when I phoned there just said if they can't sort it out in the morning they'll get another lot sent, no questions asked. Not bad for £100-ish worth of stuff.
I just bought myself a Christmas present with my dads present - https://www.arbikie.com/shop/rye/arbikie-highland-rye/
With apologies to Magic, I've been drinking some of that beer stuff tonight.
A couple of "craft" lagers, a Brooklyn pale ale and just now I'm on St. Andrews India Pale Ale. I'm not sure if the bottle I got of the latter was a duffer or if it's genuinely shit but it really is manky.
I was out for the dinner tonight and had a few White Hag Session IPA's which were lovely.
Had a Sierra Nevada sidecar orange IPA as it was the recommended drink with the main but I don't think I'd go for it again.
That sounds like it's more a case of being one that you can see the appeal but it's not for you rather than it being objectively rubbish. Is that fair?
Sierra Nevada are usually pretty good.
