I ran Dublin Marathon in 3.17.52. Negative splits too.
And I have the half down to 1.30.12, which is annoyingly close to sub 90 minutes.

What are some good websites to plan runs on? Tried a couple and Google Maps and either I'm doing it very wrong or they're shite.

This has been my go-to when mapping my runs for a few years now.

Ran my first half marathon today. Haven't trained well the last couple of weeks due to work but managed a 1:35:27, which I'm happy with.

Annoyingly started in a wave for people mostly aiming for ~1:45 so had to weave past people for a lot of the race, which is probably why Strava says I ran a total of 13.38 miles and that my half time was 1:33:43. Sticking with the official time though ofc.

Not sure if I'll do another one but it was (mostly) good fun!

Have people been running more, or are they planning on doing so? All the races I've signed up for are obviously postponed or cancelled, but the Leeds 5k series have gone 'virtual' for the next 12 weeks, where you run 5k and submit your best time each week.

I managed a PB in the first proper race of this event last month, before it got cancelled. 18:38, so a PB of around 15 seconds. The winner did it in 14:30. Astonishing really.

I've started running again - think it'll start ramping up over 10k with the lockdown.

Did 60k over two cycles yesterday and the second one was agony. Did 60k in one cycle today and while I was struggling in the last 10k, I felt alright. I think I might give 100k a go tomorrow or Sunday but I also want to ride on an empty stomach so we'll see what my limitations are.

Not so far because each day this week I've been pushing myself, but yesterday was so shit compared to today that I'm pretty sure I'm over the hump. I've been eating quite a lot, but now I'm going to start waiting until midday or so then go out for the afternoon for 3-4 hours. Should come off easily. I've started eating more meat again too because I just wasn't recovering fast enough. The way the weather is at the moment, though, I could cycle for hours and hours and hours. I'll put some pics up in a bit from today's spin.

I was walking loads one day and then running the next, but I've had to stop the running because my new trainers gave me a big blister on my heel. When it burst I cut the remains of it off, which meant I couldn't put pressure on it when I walked, which means that I've spent three days walking like someone with cerebral palsy carefully putting my weight on one side on the front of my foot. I was in Superdrug yesterday, and I got the last two bottles of hand soap (they were two for whatever quid), but then I noticed some woman looking at the empty shelf. I offered to share them, but I think she clocked me walking towards her like a spastic because she said 'NO YOU'RE ALRIGHT... HONESTLY IT'S FINE' in a really patronising way.

Imagine the scenes when Offshore's little island find out there's a global pandemic going on.

I've had a rest day today, and feel better for it. I ran 14k in an hour on Tuesday, and did a 19 minute 5k the next day and it seems to have taken its toll. I did a recovery run yesterday but was feeling it.

Yeah I’ve been trying to do one every other day.

Also been running every 3 days. 5k time down to 28:37. Still terrible but coming down.

Doing an arm workout every other day and using the chin up bar whenever I can as well.

Not going to make much progress but better than nothing.

Them having to shut down the public dips and pullup bars near me really has left a hole in my ability to replace the gym workout. Doing a fair bit of sprint training out of sheer boredom so be interested to see what state I come out of this.

Good stuff, very similar to my run this morning of 12k in 55 minutes. I decided to do a bit more of a hilly route as I've only really been along the canal recently.

On Wednesday I did my third virtual 5k race in 19:50. I'm about 10th overall, or was when I checked the other day.

Great stuff - I have 3 parks near me so I decided to loop all of them then a lap around the Emirates. Very pleasant running around here at 730am although even then there was a ridiculous queue for the butcher.

It was noticeably busier here this morning, especially when dropping back down to the canal. I didn't go up into Headingley either where it's always busier with younger/studenty types.

Wandered past my city centre Morrison’s at noon and there was a queue!

    3 people. A queue of 3 people.

Really isn’t much of a hassle for this tbh

I did my longest ride yesterday at 38 miles (60km). Felt good but saddle soreness kicked in a little towards the end. It was done on the sister-in-laws bike with it's bullshit 21 gear system. Fam, give me 3 gears tops, I'm not obese.

Will look to buy a bike once life recommences. Fixies sound shit but I'd deffo consider a single speed one.

Did my longest ride today at just over 80k. I was pushing for 100 but I couldn't get much more out of my body on an empty stomach. Think I'll just do a 30k tomorrow. I was aiming for an average of 60k each day over this weekend but I'll settle for 230.

It'd be less than that. I reckon a lap of the main roads is 70k, but you miss a lot of the rigid coastline that way. I'll be happy once I've lapped the island twice.

Are you tracking on Strava or anything? I've been hooked into it now, even tracking walks. Got creative yesterday:

Did 25 miles today. Had little energy when I set off as I'd had a few drinks and a late night so kept it in second gear throughout.

I’m away to try a run/5k as my group chat have made it a £20 a head challenge for who does the best improved time or something. I’ve not done any exercise outside of basic walking for ten months and smoke twenty a day. RIP

Just go for distance first then start ramping up. You need to get the distance complete to solve any mindset issues.

Our football team have been doing this for a few weeks. One lad is rapid managing 17:36 5k. I'm trying to shade under 20m 5k - 13 seconds from it on my last run.

That is rapid. I'll be hoping for a new PB when track racing returns, as I just can't get close on a solo canal run (it's not even worth trying for).

I managed 16k Saturday, 9k yesterday and 12k this morning. Both the longer runs were hilly, too. My next virtual race is most likely Wednesday.

I’m trying to get back up to the 20k I did last July (although I think I pushed myself too far to get to that distance - I nearly had to stop at one point with a massive stitch that felt like how I assume a hernia feels).

I’ve hit 10k and 12k fairly consistently since lockdown, and did a 14k on Thursday. Hoping to do 16k on Saturday if I can get another good run in tomorrow.

    Scouse - what’s your pace for the 16k? I did the 14k at 4’49”km.
