The wind is getting up rightly here.
The wind is getting up rightly here.
We were down the seafront earlier and it was a bit blowy. Fuck being up north.
It's not been too bad so far. Had a mad shower before I left but it's mostly just light-ish rain and gusts.
Had a bit of snow as I was riding back home from the store, otherwise it is not too bad. Weekend supposed to be good, 16 max on Sunday.
So shit is about to get real from lunchtime onwards. Thundersnow.
Nothing forecast for my neck of the woods but I'm driving through the Highlands tonight and will probably die given the forecast.
Also lol at the clown that managed to get his HGV blown right over the Forth Road Bridge this morning ignoring the warnings. Right on it's side as well for all the world to see. Dat PR doe.
Snow in London would be nice, just so I can lol that I have a five minute walk to work whilst those that commute go into break down mode, again.
Fuck me, not even 11:30am and this is the road I'll be going up tonight...

I've only experienced snow a handful of times. Not sure what to do if it snows since I've got no mates on campus. Probably go for a walk/run. I could go find a vantage point and twat some people with snowballs, actually.
The number of breakdowns people have about this is (justifiably) increasing. The trains are basically seizing to a halt, not only on Southern either. If I was running a company I'd be making serious provisions for more working from home, or just moving the premises out of London.
The numbers of people commuting to London now are just far too much for the system to cope with, but for some reason nobody wants to admit it. Doesn't help that the nastiest, most useless Tory of them all, Chris Grayling, is now in charge.
Oh, I certainly agree. It's all a farce, it's essentially a stand still when the trains have their regular halt. Monday, in an office of about 80, there was no more than 20 of us who made it in with the rest working from home. It just not feasible with them stopping regularly.
Can't see much of a solution to be fair, if anything, commuting is only going to increase.
That's the thing. If it comes it better be full blown 'civilisation grinds to a halt' snow and not just some piddling shit that just makes things annoying.
There's a fucking bitterly cold wind here right now.
Blue sky and still trees outside here, although that could also just be a picture the Koreans have put over the window.
Snow just started.
Well the roads are absolutely fucked at the moment up north, should be twice as bad when I get there circa 9pm.
Careful driving!
Yeah I'll take it easy, tread is a bit thin on the old tyres but car is going back in less than a month so fuck changing them.
I really don't want to take it in to the tyre place and have my seat position changed again. Takes me ages to resolve.7
EDIT: company car.
lol you can see where the road is supposed to be. And yes they are night vision so normally show it up.
The snow's on here now. Massive flakes, pretty heavy and it's lying.
Just been pissing it down here, despite the snow warning.
Raining here, snow won't stick if it does come and then it'll be a slippery bitch.
The snow here didn't last that long but it's still lying. There's more forecast for later. I hope it doesn't start till I get home. Can't be arsed with driving in it.
I've got a driving lesson later at just the time that the snow's going to come. I'm learning entirely in the dark as it is, but dark + snow should see me to being the best driver in the south.
I love the utter glee/amazement when it snows focused mainly on those three joyous little words...
" ...and it's lying!"
Heathrow have cancelled 100 flights before a single flake has even touched the tarmac.
Yeah, the Met have the warning from Mid-day till late tonight, but only meant to be from 6-7pm onwards here. Odds on that it stays as rain then freezes like a cunt though.
No snow yet but I'm working down the docks today and with the wind blowing in off the sea you could grate cheese with my nipples.
They must be hideously misshapen.
Had to walk back from the gym in the snow. It wasn't like a Christmas movie at all.
There have been flood warnings along the coast today, which means we've been treated to the annual parade of idiots who choose to live ten yards from the river/sea kicking off about the council and their insurance premiums on the local news.
'...and we're all just left wondering what, if anything, are the council doing to stop nature?'
Whatever the Environment Agency is calling itself these days its always been particularly inept so expecting them to fight Neptune does seem a little much.
Did anyone see the video of the bloke pushing a wheelchair bound person along a coastal path and almost getting washed away?
It's not got above freezing all day here, and the cunting wind chill made it feel like about -78.
It's -3c right now with an ice warning for the morning. Fuck off, mate.
