First part is a good point but doesn't necessarily need to be in a negative way. They're all fairly nice guys so I can imagine it being quite complimentary and civil.
The real charm of this place is when a normal human suddenly finds himself balls deep in a conversation about who was the best ninja mutant turtle with one of the spackers.
I was losing interest anyway. The board has been becoming less active (or at least less active in relation to things I wanted to post about) and was a bit of a time sink. Just a distraction from doing anything else. The WhatsApp group is a more convenient distraction in that it's instant, and it takes less time to indulge in.
I'd have stopped posting at some point. I thought about doing so a couple of times over the summer but never relly had the willpower. Then it just sort of happened naturally when I was invited into the group. There's no weird calculated "KILL THE BOARD" thing going on. The place has just had its day for me and I suspect it will be gone competely within a couple of years. The membership is shrinking and what's left just seems to thrive on bitterness and negativity. It's a shame as it was brilliant in its day, but its day has gone.
We (or rather Saint and his ninety-eight per cent chance conversion rate) would fucking crush them.

You can mute Whatsapp. I'm only in one group (with 2 other people) and I have it set to no notifications in case they start bullshitting to each other about some PS4 game. Easy to skim through and catch up after.Imagine getting a notification on your phone every time someone posts.
I've got bad news...
Those matches were some of the most nerve-wracking shit I've had to participate in. Mostly because I'm so bad that I knew if we lost it would be due to a fuck up of mine.
Kept it cool as fuck though. Undefeated.
But then I wouldn't know when it's time to go home!
