Another high ranking politician is Vietnam has "resigned" / found to be corrupt. We've now lost the NA Chairman, Deputy Prime Minister, the President, economic commission chief and another President in the current term alone.

The Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) voted to remove Hue in an emergency session on April 25; and the Central Committee voted to accept his resignation the following day.
Hue is the fifth Politburo member to be ousted this term, falling to the “Blazing Furnace” anti-corruption campaign that has already claimed Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, economic commission chief Tran Tuan Anh, and President Vo Van Thuong.

This is all for a 'look we tried' ruse, but they know well the courts here won't let anyone be sent back to the UK. It was only out on the unsafe countries list by the very same courts a few months ago.
In reality, that shower of bastards in government here would have the whole lot of them here in a heartbeat, and more on top. They're making a fortune from it.
