I’m sure she does, and there is some merit to that, but jumping from there to ‘a few hours community service would fit the crime’ is mental.

If the crime is drunken sex, then that's more or less what happens already when universities and not the police deal with rape. Also, I am not sure what the tone was, but it seems a bit bantery to me.

‘Drunk sex’ has no place on the rape spectrum.

Assuming we’re talking about 2 drunk people fucking then one of the parties regretting it.

The tone I get from it is ‘what happened to me was rape, anything else is fuck all’.

I think in Spike's post, both people are awake. If you shag a person who is unconscious then that's beyond the pale. Unlike what Pornhub portrays.

Yep, that’s what I was talking about. Mental. Regretting a drunken fumble with a creature of the night is one of life’s simple pleasures.

3 litres of water a day can make your face “better,” apparently. And, going by the pics, give you weird nostrils. Surely she looks less wrinkly cos she’s smiling in the second pic but grinning in the first? Either way I’m gonna try and drink 3 litres everyday for five days.

Sometimes you can have the best of intentions and still miss the mark completely. Such is the case with Busboys and Poets' "Race Card" initiative, which aims to foster discussions about race and privilege among its diners by handing out literal "Race Cards"—cards featuring larger questions about the state of race relations in America—to patrons as they enter.

The more appropriate response to the 'crime' would be to lol it off. Or to invite him to run the next marathon for free. Prison time? What a fucking joke.

Good money on police being low on their arrest quota and the court system refusing to take a hit to their prosecution stats. Disgusting.

If you read it, he seems to have done a fair amount more than just nick a marathon number to earn his 16 weeks.

Ok I know nobody likes the people who brag about how they can handle extreme temperatures, but after reading this article about the “hottest London marathon on record” that apparently had people dropping like flies i had a look at the numbers. 24 degrees? Are you fucking kidding me?

13 for 'fraud' which seems to involve a few offences. Either that or he has history. You just wouldn't get 13 weeks for that.

Bare in mind a lot of people don’t start training until they get their place in October. They then run in cool/cold temperatures all winter and are not really/just about ready for it. It’ll be those ones passing out, not the regular runners.

Depends what you're accustomed to doesn't it. It's only 24 for a few weeks or even days of the year here.

Yeah, but there are some objective truths along the way. If you had lived your entire life in Antarctica then 5 degrees would be fucking boiling, but it just objectively isn’t.

That’s averages. We get above 24c regularly in the summer months. It’s not only for a few days or weeks a year.

Edit: I mean, Madrid barely gets above 24c if you do it by averages, which is clearly absurd.

I know it's averages, but if the average is (at most) 21 in the hottest years then it can't be 24+ for many weeks at all.

Norwich always seemed a lot hotter than it probably was because it never gets any wind ever, so the heat and humidity just hangs around in the air making all of your foreign housemates stink.

I know a seasoned runner who did the marathon (and has done it and others before) and they said it was very tough due to the heat.

Also, having been an inhabitant of London and other hot places, when it gets 'hot' in London it feels like a billion degrees for some reason, even when it's only mid-20s. No wind, all the concrete, I don't know why but it does.
